VampireUK, Etc..

I have no idea why DX objects dont like to have their clocks work. I have seen this with anything i have a clock in.
Every clock, every weather object all have the same issues.

I believe 90% of these issue are due to the DX cache not being cleared. Somehow DX needs to get these things fixed.
If you are having problems with these things, look in the forums / articles for instructions on how to clear your cache.

I have no other ideas on what to do with this problem.

RomanDA.

I looked inside your widget to see that it relies on SDAnalogClock3.dll to work.
Any widget I have which relies on SDanalogclock3.dll, doesn't work.
Any widget I have which relies on SDanalogclock2.dll works without problem.

My guess would be if your widget was coded for SDanalogclock2.dll. it would work ok. I don't really know how to do that, and so far, Stardock haven't answered my problem - for whatever reason they have chosen not to do so, and I see others have had the same problem with clocks too. If it's a simple thing to change your widgets coding to SDAnalogClock2.dll, let me know, and I will have a go.

Incidentally, clearing the cache has no effect - the Kewl Clock still doesn't work.
But, if it's only my SDanalogclock3.dll which is bad, could someone send me a working version ?

oh well, thanks anyway RomanDA.
hmm, well it must be a problem with the SDAnalogclock3.dll .. and that is Stardock's territory. I would have thought someone from Stardock would say something about this, or do I have to ask that in another forum if they don't pay attention here ?

I would send an email to startdocks support, or use their web site to contat them, they dont monitor comments on widgets.

Sorry.

fixed the problem with updating to XPSP2 - but the clock doesn't update the weather conditions regularly ... anyone else getting this ?
