No problems here Julian - can you try again? Maybe a weather data source glitch.

Martin I got mine to work by deleting the static weather widgets so no conflict now but please please let me know if you can remember when you make this widget be able to run multiple occurances so we can have two running diff locations.

Thank you so much for your outragious DX objects and Widgets! I love them! KISS

Running DX 2.19o[b].002

It took over 10 minutes to load , pretty much locking up my system while it was doing so.
This widget chewed up TONS of memory....not sure why

According to Task Manager

Mem Usage: 20,328k
VM Size 770,112K!

Too bad, i kinda liked this widget.

Just tried it with DX 2.19p[b].002 on a different system, same results.

Wierd thing is , I can run the non-animated WF and it runs at 15,000K VM. oh well.

i can also confirm that it doesn't work with DX 2.2, it just sits there and eats as much memory as possible, so yeah... i gave up when it started eating around 500MB of my 1GB of ram

Same here. When I start the widget my CPU immediately goes to 100% for about 2-3 minutes and my system is COMPLETELY unresponsive. After the 2-3 minutes I get some responsiveness back and am able to kill the widget, which returns my system back to normal. Twice when I have tried running the widget it would load 2 or 3 instances of itself when I had only clicked it once. I am running Windows XP Pro SP2, Athlon XP 2500+, 512 meg PC3200, GeForce4 FX5600 Ultra. Could it have anything to do with SP2?

Couple of things here, it seems to open two exe files up in Task Manager, one is using 2,252 K and the other 14,200 K right now, that's a lot of RAM being used, is it the animations? The other thing is and I'm not sure if it's supposed to do this or not but the picture that's displayed right now is mostly sunny............It's 9:22 P.M. right now where I live.

No problems with RAM or anything, only complaint is it won't stay in the screen position I place it when I reboot. Very nice though

why are most of the screenshots for this widget for York, England?

I opened a weather widget for the first time today and when it said type in your zip code (UK dont even have zips!) i thought "It will never have info for York" (obviously I live in York)...
But then I realised the example even had York listed!

Whats the story?
