I am not able to set up this new version. Right-click does nothing and I can't find the help file. Can you help? Thanks.

Version 3.5 isn't working yet. I can't get it to do anything.

Exceptional as always, Vad, and thank you for sharing your hard work with the community. Your work really exemplifies quality, dedication, and generosity.

I had one problem, though. When I create a new section, enter the name, and click ok, the launch bar disappears. Hovering over the edge of my screen doesn't bring it back. I had to close and restart the widget.

Would it be possible to have an option to turn off sound effects?

Hmmm... I use LaunchBar together with sd desktop (all of control functions are integrated in the sd desktop). Then I have separated this big gadget to the two independent parts before upload here (there are no any errors on my pc... ).

Ok. I'll try to test it again and understand what happened.

To sViz: Sorry! I forgot to add this switch into the service menu! It will be added during the several days. Please wait.

I also use SD Desktop. Maybe the Launchbar doesn't work with Vista?

No-no-no!!! These two gadgets are A BIG SINGLE GADGET on my pc that was separated to the two parts only for uploading here.

I use WindowsXP (I have no Vista yet... ). But I think it must work on any OS higher than WindowsXP.

It shows up nicely but there is no way to adjust the settings. Right-click or left-click does not bring up any options. There was no problem with the older version. Thanks.

I have attentively tested LaunchBar and got the first results:

To sViz: I have created a lot of new sections. Then I have tried to clear, rename and move them. There are no any errors on each of these actions... Very strange.
Then I have added the "move ontop" command that will move LanchBar above the system taskbar and make it visible. Hope this will solve a problem.

To Gregll: I have found why you can't see the context menu. This may be because one of DesktopX *.dll(s) which creates such menu have a conflict with WindowBlinds or any other runned program that working with your GUI. So this is not my bug...

You need restart the LaunchBar in this case. Hereon all functions will work orderly.

Now I check the other things...

Best Regards.

Thank you. Works great now! One question: Setting the Launchbar Position "Above the Taskbar" (like in the screenshot) only puts it OVER the taskbar. Am I doing something wrong?

It's correct. You must see the LaunchBar like in the screenshot. Excuse for my English if this position is identified as "OVER" rather than "ABOVE".

In the screenshot, the Launchbar is sitting on the taskbar (so you can see both on the bottom). Mine covers up the taskbar. BTW, I now have SD with your launchbar, cursor, wallpaper and Windowblind. My desktop is perfect! Thank you very much.

Ok. I'm very glad to hear about.

Thanks for your diligent work, Vad. I just thought I'd mention that it only happens when the Launchbar position is set to On the top of Screen. It works fine above the taskbar.

YES!!!!! I found it!!!!!

It was because I forgot to add a little command for the main control timer when extracted LauchBar from the SD Desktop. Now all works OK. Try to upload update already today.

Thank you very much for your help!

Hi!! This is the first time I've commended anyone in the wincustomize page. Though I have downloaded several widgets, skins and the like, I had never seen something as complete and practical as the SD!! Not only does it look great, like something out of a sci-fi movie, but it also suits my every need!! I have already downloaded the Launchbar and windowblinds theme, as well as the log-on screen. Any chance we could get a bootskin and icon package?? Hell, someone even designed the dock tabs!! However, I must ask for help... I know most posters here have a degree in fancy-awesome-sciptbased-Bicformated-thingamas, and I know you probably wrote the book on it... but I am a mere mortal who finds gadgets a little confusing... uhm... I can't seem to make the mail checker work with my Yahoo! account. I'm sure it must be cause I'm not doing something right at the account creation, but I don't know what it is. I checked the manual but found nothing on this particular. Could you, or anyone who reads this, point me in the right direction? I would really appreciate so... Man, I would even sing for you!

Hi Jedijax,

Thank you for your comment.

As I understood you tried to configure Yahoo account. There is one problem. The DesktopX e-mail plugin can't work with mail servers that uses the safe connection or requires the user authenticity. For example you can't check the Google mail (Gmail) without a special script.

I newer used Yahoo mail. However I can help you and make a script which will check the Yahoo mails if you will find information how the Yahoo server works with user accounts (like for Gmail. I found the detailed information about ithis on the Gmail help.)

Best Regards.

Hey thanks for answering!... however... I... uh... What kind of data are we talking about here? If you could be a little specific I will embark on the risky quest of finding said info. Anyway, I'll start looking for anything that seems script-based or technologicaly-unreadable!

Ok, I have already checked the Yahoo! Mail Help section, but it mainly deals with simple tasks, as in "How-do-I-send-a-message." The only link worth noticing would be the one showing how to make the account work in Outlook and similar programs. I suspect this isn't what you were talking about, but outgoing and ingoing adresses and configurations are the only thing it deals with. So... could you give me a hint on what I should be looking for?? Please??

Wait a several days please (have no time yet).

First of all I'll try to remember where I found information about Gmail checking (it was long ago). Then I'll find these links once again and send you by e-mail (or put them here). You will see what we need to create widget for Yahoo mail.
