I have After Effects/premiere etc
how do people do the ripples or waterfalls?

It's free so that makes it even better, but it does limit what you can do.
As to the waterfalls, I'm still learning that myself. ��

I can give it a try with a New York skyline, but the transitions are a little above my current skill level.
