aspillman1...sorry about the mix up. I uploaded at 2:00 am, right before I went to bed, and mistakenly picked an earlier verson that hadn't been tweaked out.

Richard...thanks...glad you like it

Cyndie...thanks. I need to link to the rest of the suite like you did.

Heh, that's ok, was just wondering why the new toy my son built was overloaded alreadyMy wife loves this one too, btw.

Indeed very cool work my friend, its almost same as your Snowed Inn Dream Have a question too !! Do you convert your video loop to alpha png's or loop the sequence afterwards ???? Just asking coz I tried converting one of my video loops in AE but the hybrid version has a glitch which the mpg version did'nt have !!

Amit...it's not a converted video dream. If you try to convert a video dream you'll end up with a CPU hog that pauses at the loop.

I created each part of the dream in After Effects and layed it out as if I was creating a video dream. I then created an alpha png sequence of each segment. By doing it that way, I can regulate the size of each segment and have the choice to toggle it on or off.

The segments are as follows...

HH.png - background image (standard 1680x1050 png set to stretch)
Snow.nwa - 200 image png alpha sequence (520x350 set to stretch)
Happy Holidays.nwa - 250 image png alpha sequence (1000x486)
Blinking lights.nwa - 100 image png alpha sequence (300x800)
Solid lights.nwa - 1 image png alpha (300x800)
Star lights.nwa - 1 image png alpha (300x800)

I could have just left the 1 image, nwa files as png and indicated they were alpha, but I decided to make everything uniform so I created a nwa out of each.

(The sizes of some the images aren't exact since I wrote this from memory)

I have also found that the nwa file builder will cause a png sequence to pause when it starts over(loops). I have yet to find a fix for this so you end up having to work around it.

If you haven't found it yet, there is a new nwa file builder in the DeskScapes directory that allows an image sequence to be loaded.

Really, really nice. I'm liking these hybrid dreams. I also like that you put so many configuration options in it, ranging from various stages of "Holiday Maniac" all the way to a good anytime screen. Then I read your comment #7, don't really know what any of it means, but I know 1+200+250+100+1+1=553, holy cow! Thanks!

DaveRI...Thanks
As for reply 7...It is rather confusing if you don't create dreams, isn't it.

Wizard...Thanks

I used to live in Michigan...man I'm glad I live in the south now. I can't stand more than a days worth of snow.

Great thnx for the info CarGuy, I also checked out the hybrid file for this one and surely this would have involved a lot of work, esp. creating the diff. NWA's !! Though I have'nt yet planned on creating one with multiple layers yet but will soon try it out with something simple like just switching on or off one extra layer. Though the idea is pretty cool like in the Vintage dream !!

CarGuy, Fantastic! The one thing I can't figure out is how you did that cool particle effect for the text. It really looks like it's breaking up into snow and blowing away with the wind. Is that a preset in After Effects or ...?

Parris...it's Trapcode's Form, a plug in for After Effects.

Also, thanks for noticing it.
