So far so good, but then you are just beginning this design. It would be interesting see the final version. When you do eventually add the background and texture. Remember, the first rule in design... keep it simple. Only then, when you are ready, will you be able to bend that rule.

I can imagine this as a DesktopX object. Mabey like a little buddy object that like says the time every X minutes. Anyways keep up the AWSOME jord!
