I have no problems whatsoever with the religious aspect. I was making a "joke"...albiet a poor one.

According to the number of downloads for this, many people DO respect your work. Many more would respect it if they understood the "documentation" that this comes from. The way that it is "cut & pasted," actually, is very fitting. It is an amazing story and I find myself really staring at the linen shroud, trying to make sense of it all. What is ironic is that computer users of logon screens, etc., are so "wowed" by 3D drawings but do not even realize that this piece of linen has three-dimensional properties and is from a far gone era where there was no way to "fake" this with technology. Whether people choose to believe in any religion is obviously personal choice but this article is amazing, none the less. Will I use it as a logon screen? Probably only for Easter. It's very interesting but not something that I want to look at daily. But I'll tell you one thing...I prefer this over childish, sexual-themed logon screens, guns 'n ammo screens or screens that promote video games. It's funny that it's o.k. to promote logons, etc. with killing/violence/aliens (give me a break!)and have links promoting such, but when a religious-themed logon pops up, the so-called "citizens" turn ugly. Please do not hesitate to share more of your work...notice that many "citizens" who voice their opinions are teenage boys hiding behind pretend names.

Very nice - especially your documentation - there is much written on the Shroud - no, people, he didn't invent this stuff! While our faith depends not upon relics, this is food for thought for those who will take an open minded look.

I've studied some of the documentation and research regarding the Shroud, and find it to be truly facinating, though I have no fondness for organized religion. I think the comments above of chyleppr really hit the nail on the head regarding both the logon, and regarding the rude comments in the early part of this thread. Well done! I like this-- I believe the shroud is genuine too- it's way too advanced to have been a 16th century painting-- especially with all of the 3D aspects under certain lighting. I'm not into organized religion either, but I love Jesus Christ.
