Is there any possible way to make a "Start" Menu with this so it displays whatever is in your Start Menu folder? If so, that would be awesome!

When I Tried To Put The Docklet, This Error Shows On The Screen: No such skin: C:\Program Files\ObjectDock\\Docklets\KkMenu\SKINS\KkSkinMenuAqua.ini

As You See, The Error Show 2 "Slashes" In: \ObjectDock"\\"Docklets\

So Please,If Someone Know How Can I Repair These, Pleeeease, Tell Me

Kimbaroth, If you did like me you unzipped the file & put the folder in the docklets folder without changing the name. When you unzip it, it's KkMenu030..... You have to drop the 030 off the folder name...

Great Speed. I'm having problems in the folder section. I can't type or paste folder locations. It keeps deleting it while I type it. Also, gives me error when making folders as submenus. Help!
Also, I'm a little lose in making multiple KKMenus.

Thanks!

For the errors in the skin name. I sugested to Jiri to create a folder for the skins. Now, when you unzip the the contents of the KKMENU030.ZIP, you must create a KkMenu folder in the docklet folder, and unzip there like this: X:\Program Files\Stardock\ObjectDock\Docklets\KkMenu\
And just a reminder, this is a beta docklet, some of the bugs has been fixed and another release is schedule for next week. Just keep posting about bugs and problems.
Thanks!

Mankar, can you please copy and paste the path to the folders you want to make?

I'm doing the tutorial rigth now, so you guys can follow some easy steps to make dinamic folders!

One problem. When I switch users and then switch back, the menu always appears at the top-left corner of the screen.

Also I notice that shortucts in folder menus end in '.lnk' again.

I was able to transfer the different skins from version270a to version 030. However, I have not been able to find a way to transfer the menus. Is that because the docklet style is totally different than the previous way? Is there a way to transfer old menus to the new version? Other than that, I really like this!!!!

Transfer menus is easy once You got it : Create a new kkmenu docklet on You dock and close the window. Then go to Your KKMenu docklet folder . Ther is a file named 'KKmenus.ini'. Copy the contents of every old menu ini-file into this one new file. Close object dock and restart it. Now You can make new KKMenu docklets and choose the menu You want with it.

I am currently finishing the new release. It includes:
1. Bug fixies of what you reported here (and many more).
2. The dynamic folders support browsing throu everything you can browse with the explorer (including control panels, recycle, pronters, network connections etc).
3. The Start menu/Programs folder supports merging two directories.

In the future I plan to:
1. Implement the tray icons suport (actually this now works somehow).
2. Implement the context menus at dynamic folders.
3. As a bonus: Create another docklet which will display the tray icons directly on the dock (this actually works somehow).

Bad news: The KkMenu will become shareware in its next release.

Kk.

Great that this now is a docklet. However du I have the same problem as Mankar, can't make folders or submenus.

Okay...I give... On two fronts:

1) Where are the "dynamic" folders at? Are they the same as "folder" in the type selection? I've tried creating a dynamic folder from my start menu, but all I get is a lot of cascading menus full of *.lnk files that won't launch or anything. How are you guys making your start menus function here?

2) No amount of typing or trying will convince the kkmenu editor to allow me to type a darn thing in the "folder" field. I've only been able to enter folder information directly into the kkmenu.ini file.

Thanks...

I'm having a problem with sub-menus. Say I create 2 menus. In #1 I create a sub-menu item, then in the sub-menu drop-down i try to select the #2 menu but the only selection it will allow is menu #1 so what I get is menu #1 with the arrow pointing to a non-existent sub-menu. What am I doing wrong??

Nevermind! I copied the ini file into the KkMenus.ini and restarted Object Dock & it worked.
