sorry for the dumb question... didnt realize it was a docklet, duh... anyway for those that need help. Create a folder in the C:\program files\stardock\objectdock \docklets\ directory called "mail" or something like that
then click on the "configure dock" icon and go to docklets... click mail checker and then click add. then click the icon to setup your acct.

sorry for the dumb comment below... maybe add a txt file to the archive?

You beat me to it. I was making one of these but my pop3 protocol wasn't working.
zeriun: you can make multiple copies of the docklet on the same dock for multiple mailboxes.

Well. I admit I haven't used it, so apologies if it already does this, but: It would be good if the user could choose which icon they wanted for each state (I have many hundreds of icons for example). It would also be good if clicking on the icon ran a mail client of choice.

Het zou echt te gaaf zijn als je het zo kunt maken dat als er een nieuw berichtje is, de PNG kan animeren of dat men zijn eigen animerende PNG kan plaatsen.

'translation' It would be great is you could make it so that when you get an email, the PNG would animate in some form, or that the user can place their own animated PNG.

Thanks for the great app tho!

would it be possible to have hotmail support?

Pretty slick. I'd like to see the icon change when a new email arrives, and show the number of them right on the icon itself (similiar to the temperature on the weather docklet). It would also be handy to click the icon and have it bring up your email prog.

Judge - double clicking will open the mail client of your choice. Andreas - thanks for the mailchecker! I like that it will display the number of emails recieved.

Digital trucker - it does show the number of new emails on the icon. Do you guys try the docklets before commenting?

Insert foot in mouth! I just double clicked on the icon after recieving mail and it did not work correctly. It does open a mail client of choice when double clicking on it when there is no mail notification.
