It's good, but is there any way you can have the start menu appear over the icon, rather than all the way to the left?
I know, I know, some of us are never satisfied...!

Thanks,

same here the menu doesn't open properly so it seems like theres on real point to the docklet when you can just press the windows button which does the same thing--btw good work

uh, the point of it is for those who use objectdock as a taskbar replacement... or seems like it at least

heh, i was browsing through and saw that you're using my lil start button dock icon.

Being a bit of a relative old timer I never got used to the Windows key ever being there. And much as I can't stand that horrible XP Start button I just felt more comfortable having something there to click on.

Anyhow, over 5k downloads! I wish I had a pound for every one...hehe

The only thing I might change, if I can be bothered, would be to hide the menu again on another click on the docklet, like the Windows Start button and the Windows key does. Oh and what comment #1 had to say.....

This is a great idea ... one question: where can I get a 'Start' button to go with the dll file? It didn't come with the zip file for this docklet.

Unzip the file, make a directory (e.g. Startmenu) under the Docklets where you installed OD. Then go to OD, right click->Dock Settings. It should be listed there under Docklets and Items.

Hi Kimb, Wonderful thing ya got here!

however, whenever i open the start menu, it pops up all the way at the top left corner, is there a way to make it pop up in the same spot it did with the start bar? or can i assign where it pops up or anything to that effect?

Thanks!

hi, well, for me it pops up the right click menu?! I tried andreas one too, and that works but the start menu never comes up where i want it. hmmm....
maybe its sp2 and having all the other stardock apps running too....like right mouse click!

aw geez, all these start menu docklets act strange on my machine, even when the menu comes up things like shutdown/logoff dont work, click on it and nothing happens. i guess that's why there are other dlls on this site for that!
