I think it will really help. The first impression is the preview. People won't even download it if they can't tell what it will look like on their desktop. Then they will decide if they like it.

I took your advice. Any suggestions an good screenshot software???? I'm using "screenthief" its oky but very limited in settings. Again, Thank You!!!!

I don't use anything but the "Printscreen" button on my keyboard. Then I paste it into my graphics program, resize it to whatever I want, and save it as a jpg. For something like a dock background, after I paste it into my graphics program, I select the portion with the dock in it, copy it, and paste it in a new file so it just shows the dock and a bit of the background. Look at some of the other previews of dock backgrounds here to get some ideas. That will help a lot for your next one.
