Aw shucks, with comments like this I'm gonna get a swell head for sure.
I spent quite a bit of time getting this shot to how I wanted it; from searching for a suitable Workshelf theme that continued to hide, to recolouring Kitty's WB to look like ship's timbers and choosing element that would give it more of an 'old world' feel...hence no Workshelf, media player or other fangled gadgets.
Crikey, if I were so vain, I'd be tempted to give it a 10fer, myself.
Anyhow, Sheley, thanks for dropping in to leave such a wonderful comment, it is much appreciated and I look forward to meeting with you again somewhere in this great gallery.
***BTW, did you get the link to those medieval icons ok? (the same artist has some pirate icons, a few of which were used here, on his home page....along with other interesting items. - WWW Link

Not to worry about it 'supposedly' being a blokey thing, RoseNell, the shot was intended to please the ladies as much as the men. As for the "soft and calming", I didn't want a loud and boisterous theme that seemed to be leaping of the screen, so this is the result ....and I must say it is rather pleasing, even if I do say so myself.
In fact, I've gotten such a swell head from all the wonderful comments, I'm gonna go into ThemeManager and save it as a suite.
Anyhow, now I'm done bumpin' me gums , thank you for the very nice comment you left, it is much appreciated.

Actually, I am rather proud of this outing, it wasn't the easiest shot to create at times but was sure sweet to deliver. The moment I finished I just knew it had to be shared here with the wonderful gallery residents.
Your comments are appreciated and gratefully received, and as always, thank you for the kind words.

Thanks, kitty, I appreciate your input on this one a lot. In fact, because it's your WB I recoloured, it's your thoughts that are most relevant with regards to my tinkering.
Although this is one of the more difficult shots I've done, it was probably the most fun because I have always loved your Sunken Treasure blind (any pirate worth his salt would) and found it a challenge to get the colour exactly as I wanted, with that 'olde world' timber look.
Anyhow, I'm totally wrapt in the positive feedback and look forward with great anticipation to your future treasures.
