Yanno - if you rightclick on that desktop you can hide all those shortcuts 
- better yet, Try the RightClick menu program and then you have nothing on desktop and more room for cute girls

I'm always getting criticized for too many icons...but that's only the case when I'm in boring old Exploder....

What! No 'Antares'???? Has Jafo broken out of the GUI "rut" at long last??
A change is as good as a holiday, or so it's said...should do it more often, perhaps!
I use Winstep Xtreme to do the same...all my shortcuts are easily accessible from a quick launch shelf in Workshelf...a very handy proggie indeed.
