Try downloading to your desktop, then installing it. (I've noticed sometimes if you click open when downloading it doesn't do anything.)
And if all else fails, use winrar or winzip to unzip it and then copy the folder to your sidebar gadget directory.
To find that go to explorer and in the address bar paste " %UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets " and paste the GCPU.Gadget folder there.
Make sure that these folders are in the Gadgets\GCPU.Gadget\ folder.

Are you having issues with any other gadgets? I'm also running ultimate so i'm not sure what the issue may be. And is anyone else having the same problem with this gadget?
Thanks,
Shadowline

I'm having the same problems installing the gadget as mentioned above. I get it to show the install pop-up, but after I click the install button nothing happens, or so it seems. When I check the directory where the gadgets are installed, I get a very weird directory called GCPU.Gadget.~0003 which doesn't seem quite right. I've tried installing other gadgets, with varying results. Some result in the same kind of odd directory, while others go well. I've installed the digital clock and the dual core CPU reader without any problems (which reminds me, is it possible to make this glass CPU reader for multi-core CPU's?). I wonder if it has something with the Vista build, I'm using one of the earlier ones myself and I can imagine that someone with a beta version or an RT1 build or something similar might have some problems with certain gadgets, but that's just an idea I'm having.
Regards,
M. Maas

I'm having the same problem described above when tried to install the gadget, but found a solution.
In my point of view, the problem is the language that you have in your Windows Vista, because one of the gadget folder included in this nice job is "en-US". If you reviews the path granted for ShadowLine for the default gadgets maybe you find a different language folder inside the default gadgets folders installed (in my case is "es-ES").
The solution:
when you install this new gadget and nothing happen, go to the path that ShadowLine give us for the downloaded gadget, in it you will find the gadget folder "GCPU.Gadget", if you have a name like this "GCPU.Gadget.~0003", rename it to a "GCPU.Gadget" all this without "", then go to the path for the default gadget and search the folder gadget "CPU.Gadget" and copy the language folder that have there (in my case "es-ES"), return to the path for downloaded gadget, inside "GCPU.Gadget" erase the folder "en-US" and copy the other (in my case "es-ES"), and that's all.
Now open the gadget windows control and the new one appears.
I hope this can help to those to have this problems.
