Why does my object buttons on the desktop have grey squares on them? In the screenshot, the P, M, E and other buttons have transparent borders! Any suggestions?

This suite crashes my system. Every app closes when I try to enter it. Any suggestions?

hmmmm.... possibly try to update the Desktop X program to the newer version.

I will try to see what is going on with the program.

Look for "Groovy" on the message board in a few so I can sort out any problems.

This is the first time I uploaded this so give me some time.

Thanks

all well over here. No problems with the upload. Try updating all the programs (WinStyles, DesktopX, WindowBlinds, and IconPackager)

You have to have all those programs for this to work.

I already have latest version of all those programs. I tried again with the same result. Same thing happened with another Winstyles suite I had. I am going to delete and reload the Winstlyes, maybe that will do it.

I hoe reloading helped, leveck. I had to do something similar with objectbar. Now it works fine. (that is once I unloaded it by clicking the "UnWise" unload ObjectBar icon. Then reloaded it.

I know some of these products are new so they still have some bugs in it. Just get on Stardock's case and they will fix it (pretty quickly I might add)

(Why do I still feel like a ginny pig?? )

I found out what happened with the transparentcy on the DesktopX application. They updated Desktop X but it does not include a feature that the DesktopX was originally designed on. I imagine that this will be a problem for many DX aurthors who use this transarency effect.

I am alerting Stardock now about the feature absence and hopefully everything will be ok in a few. So in the mean time just have some patience.

anyone that can't download right click on the link and click "save target as" should do the trick. For some reason your browser is trying to read the file instead of download it. Happens to me on this site all the time, but i use Opera browser so Java no workie...

Sorry it took so long to get back to all those who have been downloading this WinStyle.

I asked Stardock what happened in a News Group and they said the feature wasn't used that much (and that is true) and it also used allot of CPU power at the time.

So the best way to fix the theme is to fix the files (the transparent buttons) and either make tham into a png file with a mask or a bmp file and make the canvas (not the image) twice the height. Then use black, shades of grey and white on the bottom half to creat the transparentcy.... ok that was confusing.

Go to the Stardock website for DesktopX and it is there and download one of my DX themes visorekViper or iBOX DX and open one of the bmp files to see what I am talking about (inder your DesktopX directory in the defualt theme folder -- AFTER you open the theme file)

Hope that helps!!!
