K-TEK, mutant cybernetic increasingly distant relative of Killer and K2...
Well, I made a new K-TEK wall to match the colours of the first K-TEK sysmetrix, which inexorably lead
to creating this new style for the sysmetrix. I had always thought that K-TEK would consist of 2
distinct sub styles, a light and a dark, 1 metal and 1 graphite. I hope to do the same for the
developing windowblinds and any other skins I add to the "collective" :)
This skin is more configurable than any sysmetrix I have made to date, largely due to use of the new
features, in particular the combination of alpha-blended "graphic" elements and transparent background.
The gauges can be reconfigured to report any information you see fit as none of the text labels are
hard-coded into the graphics, they are all generic text elements.
I made this skin with all the features that are useful to me, it's possible that I could make another,
larger version with a wider variety of gauges and readouts if people like it. The way the skin is
constructed should hopefully make that a relatively simple task...
There is support for displaying the cpu temperature and fanspeed using MBM
Link If you don't use MBM you can quite easily configure these elements to display other information.
You will need to install all three colour variants if you want the colour cycling switch to work, and
sysmetrix should be installed in the default location. If it is not you can amend the path in the
interactive buttons section to point to where you have it installed. Additionally if you have
previously installed the original metal styled K-TEK sysmetrix, the button at top right of the left
hand module will switch between the metal and graphite styles. See the enclosed readme.txt in the zip
for more details.
