Its a nice scene and all, but its just too.... generic.
There are millions of scenes just like that out there, 3 minute bryce or vue d'esprit creations of picturesque mountains and lakes and things, and well, it just gets pretty boring...

my suggestion to you for future wallpapers is to not only create something in bryce or vue and release the render, but to add in some post processed elements afterwards, to make it unique from the other scenery wallpapers out there, maybe add in a semitransparent 2d layer on top with other design elements. After all, you can find plenty of REAL pictures of REAL places that look just like this rendering, so what I really look for in wallpapers like this is the added element that you don't find in photographs, at least ones that havent had any post-pro'ing done to them.

OK thanks for the insight! I will keep that in mind the next time I create a wallpaper. And I used Terragen, just if you were wondering. Thanks again!

A common scene,a common lens-flare for the sun effect, did you change the default Terragen settings? Yet another landscape with soothing summer colors. Rated: 3-Stars.

Yes I did change the default Terragen settings. Sorry if it seems kind of average, but I'm just starting to learn about the program and all that can be done with it. Also, once I achieve greater results, I will incorporate some Phototshop elements. Thanks for the comment and the rating, and for your constructive criticism!

Well Photoshop can really bring up an image to a new level. I remember an artist who actually did the same not so original landscapes with Terragen, but then enhanced them in PSP and it was something very special in the end. Sorry i don't remember the name though.

That's what I am trying to achieve, but it's too bad you can't remember the name of the artwork, I would really like to see it. As I said before, thanks for all of the comments, it really helps me out!
