The connecting rod is wrong. Also, the inner area of the rod is actually a bearing, so it's not completely attached as shown. Otherwise, thew way you show it, it would be made of the same material as the rest of the rod.
The top of the Piston is also does not look right to me (they almost always have smooth slopes, not deep cuts, even on racing pistons), and whoever put those piston rings on needs to be shot. LOL

Sorry, didn't mean to ruffle your feathers. I head Stardock Design, so I can't help being particular, especially when it comes to real objects. For the connecting rod, I was referring to the cap. I've never seen one that is completely square, and I've never seen a pic of one (even with exotic cars) that is completely square. Also, the piston head that you showed is not for a BMW 
When you represent real objects, there is more to compare to. If you would have termed it "space craft parts", then it could be whatever you imagine. All of this is constructive criticism- I don't even bother commenting on submissions if the author doesn't show potential.
