This is one of the prettiest skins I've seen in a long time. 8^) It does have the same flaw of many darker skins, though, and that is that I have to end up tweaking my appearance settings either everywhere or in Display Properties due to many web sites and applications assuming I'll have black text. Since your skin has white text, I can't read a great many things.

Stardock, if you're "listening," it would be nice if we could keep default system colors in places where it's almost vital, such as in child containers such as web browser windows and Office document applications. If this is already possible, then I'd like to appeal to skinners everywhere to not override those values as it makes working with those products rather difficult.

One of the biggest reasons I bought Object Desktop is for the improved productivity it provides. It is simply icing on this delicious cake that they make my system look cool, too.

Gamma adjustment (lighten) within WB will improve the legibility of darker skins.

By the way, this is a great skin!
FYI, goes great with Avenger cursors...

Unfortunately, adjusting the gamma does not help when you come to a web page that forces a white background but doesn't bother setting the text color so it defaults to the skin's color, also white. (

Well, now you made me do it. You made a skin I liked so much that I had to finally download and install SkinStudio to modify it to be functional in a work environment. I'm not a graphics artist and so I changed nothing that is yours. All I played around with were the Classic Colors. I filed it as a Sub Design. I tried to email it to you, Aleksyandr, but the email bounced back as undeliverable. This is the greatest compliment I can think of giving a skin designer. Let me know where I may send it to you so that you can repost this with my extremely minor modification.

Thanks for the kind comments everyone. Grimlor: if you're having problems viewing webpages properly, goto Internt Options in Control Panel. On the General tab, click the Colors button at the bottom of the page. Make sure the checkbox for "Use Windows Colors" is unchecked. That should help you out.

I no longer have problems viewing web pages (or any other MS document) properly as I created a subtheme that replaces the dark background with light text with the standard white background with dark text. The result is a perfect skin, IMO. thanks for doing the hard work for me, Aleksyandr!
