On the first release there were some problems with magic pink showing on the corners of the toolbar buttons. At the time the file type was .tga, Since then I've changed to .bmp files. Make sure you delete the old steel file then reload the new one again. The only other suggestion i can give is that you check the transparency settings for the task bar items. Make sure they are all checked.

Great skin but how did you get the gold buttons? Mine are silver.

If you look at the screen shot you can see a yellow button next to substyle. Click on this then click on enable colouring. You can now select any colour you want. The slider at the bottom changes the intensity of the clour. Click on gamma to change the contrast of the main window.

This skin is pretty cool. Although it leaves me wondering why other Mac placebo skins i see cant do the same rich deep metalic coloring Steel has.

The coloring doesn't work for the default sub-style, only for the UIS1 sub-style. The default sub-style doesn't have masks defined for the buttons.
Also the toolbar icons don't work - when I open it in skinstudio the toolbar image names lack the steel directory name

Judge I've just downloaded it onto another PC and the icons are working fine. They appear ok on internet explorer but you need to log off/on to get them to appear on windows explorer. with regards to the colour enabling I'll jhave to get back to you.

More details on the Icons and colouring. When I first tried to change the colouring using Display properties for some reason there was no change. I loaded it into skin studio and applied the currently editied skin. the colours appeared ok.
The only thing I can suggest is you delete steel from windowblinds, delete any downloaded through skin studio then download again. the file size should be 547k.

hey dude. great skin. i love it. but can you fix some bugs that it has. i would really appreciate it. the bug i have is the maximize restore button. you know the 1 between the X and the _ on the top right corner. it works great. but update it to show when its maximized and normal.thanx again
