Uh-oh...I deleted the old to try to get this update, but I can't get it to download properly. The download starts, and I get the little pop up, but it says a skin called "" has been downloaded, as if it has no name, then it doesn't show up in my skin list. Is anyone else having this problem?

OK, that last comment may have been a little extreme.... sorry. but really, the taskbar is very distracting.

You have no right to request anything of me. I am a customer too. I skin for myself, if you don't like the skin, don't use it. If I was charging you for the skin, you would have a right to request stuff, but I'm not.

Why is that mean? Where does it say that I am obligated to pander to everyone's tastes? It would seem that the concept of, "I skin for myself, yet I am willing to share with all of you" has been lost somewhere. Stardock gave WindowBlinds the ability to have an animated taskbar, I took advantage of that ability and made a skin that I like. I placed it here in case anyone else wanted one too. Besides, over 13,000 people have downloaded the skin so far, and around 5 people have complained, which would suggest that the majority are enjoying the theme. I think it's time that people were reminded that this is a site for SHARING skins, and don't treat the authors as if they were receiving some kind of remuneration for this.

Why do you think I am "eating you up"? I just think that if you want something, then first of all, it might be a good idea to at least say please, and secondly, don't insult the authors work in the same sentence that you make a "request". Is that too much to ask?

I'm not offended, merely disappointed at the attitudes towards peoples generosity. I will say it again, I make skins for myself, if you don't like them, then feel free to choose another skin from this fine site. Or, you could always have a shot at making your own WindowBlinds skin, and see how much work goes into one. Maybe then you might appreciate what it is like to have people tell you that you should change your skin because they don't like it.

I feel the same way, though I will update a skin if the request is necessary or if I find that it's a good idea AND that it's asked for in a nice manner.

the way i look at is this: if you don't like a certain aspect of the skin, don't ask the author to make another skin just for you. learn how to modify it to suit you. asking boxxi, or anyone else, to change a skin to suit your purposes is wrong. i've probably modifies 75% of the blinds i've downloaded. it isn't hard, just time consuming

i totally agree and for me, i modify about 85% of the skins i download. However, i still seem to sense fustration (and mayb some bitterness) from BoXXi(although i can see where he is comin from). Modifying a skin takes some time, not to mention building one from scratch, so i can appriciate how much work goes into a skin. However, it is inavoidable as an author to get requests and contreversial opinions from different users. Conclusion? Let it be. One love.
