Ok, thanks Fairyy! That's something I'll keep in mind too. But it all means there seems to be no setting that fits all.....

I love the colors, the scroll bar, the overall color scheme and the color of the font against the menus. I'm tweaking the fonts (Tahoma 12). Only thing I don't like is the fuschia bar, even though it makes addresses POP. I don't know how to better adjust the pic (its now miniscule) and name (it curls downward) at the top of my Start menu. thanks for uploading this!

tnx msgadget. i'm not sure what you mean by adjusting the pic and name: talking about the pic too big for the topbar of the startmenu? Name falling off?

I very much like this skin - one of the best, but ... how can I make the window contents background white - i.e. I would like to type on white paper not blue. Also a minor colouring problem is that its very difficult to read the numbers on the windows calculator - dark blue on mid blue. A very simple guide to editing with Skinstudio would be appreciated - I'm very much a novice with this!

OK Stephen: Open up Cool desire in Skinstudio. Next steps:
Left pane - select Miscellaneous - Colors
Right Pane - select Window - Background window
Now in the Bottom pane you will see "Adjusted color"
There you can change the color to white by:
- Pick (opens a drop down), select "select color". Select white.
Now save this. Next, to apply press Shift F9. You now have a white background. The buttons for the calculator can, as far as I know, only be done by changing the graphics. If you want that done, contact me by email Email

You're a star! Thankyou. Don't worry about the calculator - I'm quite happy to live with it.

JourneyMan, I hadn't updated any of the Object Desktop software and once I did...WOW. I have absolutely no problems with fonts or anything else. This is my favorite WB skin now, with is a problem because it doesn't match my favorite Wallpaper but oh well, it's worth it. I like everything about it - the cool way the start menu icon opens and closes, that I can roll-up OR minimize a window - especially the colors. And, because you're so involved in making it work perfectly, I'll be on the look-out for more of your skins.

Stephen, Love this skin, great job . However, I have found one problem that I can't seem to get around. It is with the Outlook Calendar, the odd month in the month display is usually a darker shade of the window color. But with your theme it is BLACK. I've tried setting the window color to white, but it is still black. I'm not sure how Outlook derives the color for this object, do you?

If I change to the default xp theme; with a white window color the odd month is a gray and with a window color of blue the odd month remained the same shade of gray. I was also able to get the odd month to display a shade of tan when I was fooling around with the desktop color, but it didn't stick and I haven't been able to recreate it.

Any help you could provide to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.
