To get the glass effect to work in these skins do you need to buy WB5 and what does it mean the beta version is working for a few weeks yet? I don't mind buying it but if the beta isn't working and I'd a registered customer of Window Blinds I begrudge the money. Sorry, Paul Eric, the glass effect in your skin isn't working except on the start menu. This is the umpteenth skin I used to try and make the glass work. Can you explain to me what's going off - I have version six and five - right back to 4.4 paid for. The enhanced versions for a registered customer.
I think you will understand my frustration, if it's not working - have five in now. So could you please explain to me what's happening. I've left comments before but received no answer... Others are saying how great it looks... I can't see the effect. The skin is great but where's the glass other than in start menu. In the screenshot - it's there but here in my computer, no... Even brewman with Dogmax failed to get the skin effect in WB 5 except in the start menu. Is there something I'm missing here? But everybody's saying they're working fine but are they? Oviously not on my computer!
I want answers - can you explain, Paul Eric? I'm sure you'll feel the same in my position.

You can see transparent window borders only if you have WB5 running. If you still have version 4.x, you can't see the glass effect (the taskbar transparency and some other effects display ok though).
In WB5 skins, we build both transparent and not transparent skins (for people who don't have WB5). This is why you can use the skins but not see transparent borders...
Does all this make sense ?

Yes, I think I undertand, Paul Eric. I do atually have WB 5 and I'm afraid the window borders aren't glass effect. When does WB 5 go live out of beta? And I think by the sound of things, although I'm registered with Window Blinds and use Object dock to use Window Blinds, as all comes with it, just about, I have to pay another £20.00 for the use of WB 5. There's too many bugs in five at the moment anyway. I keep switching from five and six for the glass each time a skin comes available.

Hi PaulEric, this is an improvement on the first version, the start button realy suites the skin now, love the gentle blue of the transparency in the task bar, the start menue is not to transparent, but, transparent enough for those who like it transparent, like me. Jim

PaulEric, Great design as all the feedback concurs...I have a question: after applying this skin the bottom taskbar is glassy & transparent - perfect, no problems. However after I reboot the taskbar takes on a dark charcoal colour with blue edging thats not transparent. And yes....I'm running the latest build of wb5 - (Beta)4.96b[b].002
Any suggestions?? It's weird because if I reapply in the WB config it turns back to glassy & transparent like it should. I can just keep reapplying after a boot-up but was wondering if you or anyone has experienced this?? Thx for you time...5 Stars!

Hi PaulEric, I have downloaded every new skin for WB5 that comes on to WC, I try them out, some for a whole day, then I'm back to A Touch of Glass, which is, in my mind, "A Touch of Class", what next, can you follow this with another, best of luck and thanks again. Jim

Thanks a lot, Jim, this is a very kind comment (I'm especially touched because this is my very first WB skin...) ! 
I'm planning some improvements of this one for now (with toolbar icons too), maybe another skin within a few weeks (I already have some ideas for something cool...)

Tried this today, and while I like it I find it is unusable because every once in awhile (not sure exactly why) the content of my browse (usually Firefox) starts to shake. It's hard to explain. It's like all of the text and images on a web page start shaking by one pixel. Very hard on the eyes. If you can fix that bug, this could become a standard skin for me.

The reason why I'm asking this : I first installed WB5 on top of version 4 and I had a recurrent problem : the very top right corner of maximized windows was missing in per pixel skins. I always had to load a web page with a java applet in it in my web browser in order to make the skins display correctly (don't ask me why... just found that out by chance !

So I uninstalled WB, rebooted the computer, erased every remaining reference to WB and re-installed a fresh WB5. The problem belongs to the past now

At least the preview does. I've not been running WB (4 or 5) long enough to understand how to install this one. .WBA files are simple, but this is a zip full of.. well... stuff
Looks great ^^ up there though.
