That's exactly the point. As far as people can tell, you may have been calling it bLister because you saw the original Bister and used it as inspiration in designing this theme (and if that was true, then you are expected to credit Bister/susumu).
However, you seem to be saying that you came up with the name BLister yourself and that you were not, in fact, inspired by susumu's theme at all, in which case, all seems to be ok since the graphics are different (according to CodF4ther).

I installed both themes this morning and looked at them side by side. once you do you don't see as many similarities: - The start menu's are completely different - the tabs are different - the start button is different - the max/min/close buttons are different (Blister is more like 5imple, Bister is like Vista) - Bister doesn't come with a shellstyle - Blister uses Segoe UI as the font, Bister uses Lucida/Tahoma - They both have different lighting effects through the middle of the window - Buttons are different |
Nice comparission -- plus RGB values of both are entirely different --- !!!

Maybe you should rename it "Can of worms" or "Flamestarter".
Anyway, great job. Only negative is the black font issue, but you've already heard that.
Keep up the good work.

There have been some allegations made toward Josephs regarding the originality of this skin. He has stated that it is his own, original work, which I believe. Josephs has made extremely high quality skins in the past, and I see no reason to doubt his honesty now. There IS a similarity between the skins Bister and Blister, but even if it WAS inspired by the visual style, I'm certain that Josephs would have the courage to stand up and admit to that. There is nothing wrong with basing quality work on the work of others, as long as proper permissions are obtained.
Lets try to avoid comments of a flammable nature to make sure that this stays respectful and polite to the author and to other members of this community.

These skins look extremely similar, and I do wonder about the *complete* originality of this skin, but in the end we must rely on honesty and fair judgement. Good skin, Josephs. (PS: We talk about you on the latest edition of Under The Skin... www.undertheskin.net (Specifically, about the content margins that have been pointed out on this skin, as well as Battlefield 2))

Can you change the text color in the dialog boxes to grey or another lighter color? Black text on the dark background is a little hard to read at times.
Keep up the great work!

Nice Skin!!
Just a few new fixes needed ...
- When task bar is used at TOP ... the main Start Button it´s cutted by a black line ...
- On the Start Panel menu ... the right side (Computer, Control Panel, Run, etc) The Highlight is dark and text are black, so it´s hard to read because of no enought contrast there.
- Some FORMs buttons on web pages.. like this one.. (Submit button) is Dark and black texts too.. so.. same problem.
Just that!
Keep doing great job!
cya!

I was using the Icon-A-Day icons with the Arrow theme but they look much better with this one.
I'll have to agree with Riahon though. Black text and black background aren't the best friends. Also, I don't like the border that the quick launch icons have around them.
Otherwise it's awesome. Keep it up.

Contrast.
The dark menus, windows, pop ups, mouseovers, pull down menus, right click menus...etc, have a serious contrast problem with mixed with a dark font (usually by default everyone's font is black). Now, when it comes to Firefox, well since you can theme it all by itself, some themes work, and some don't. For instance, for me to get a good contrast of colors between the theme and the fonts, I have to use Grey Modern 0.7(or similar), but not Firefox Vista 1.5 (which is a "clear" type theme who's toolbar/bookmark toolbar & fonts become solid black and impossible to see until the mouseover).
Other than that, I have a copy of almost all the dark themes, such as Tiggz GT3, this one...and a few others, and they are kick ass themes. I just hope that the next time a dark theme is done, that Contrast is kept in mind when choosing the color scheme.

Task Manager, Outlook, and even the comments field on THIS very web form are unusable with this skin. If you can update it would gladly be my default!

I installed this skin and i like it.
On first look it looks very good, but when working with it there are things im not sure that they are right.
In Firefox the menutextcolor is white on white background.
Normal menus (i.e. "ok" boxes) are textcolor black on background darkgrey.
So i cant read the Messages or navigate in Firefox.
Is this normal or did i something wrong?
:edit:
i enabled gamma adjustment, now the menus are better,
for firefox it seems that i must use a darker background skin there.

Where can I find the 'Userpic' files?
I've searched the "Blister" folder, all the comments here (in case anyone else already asked), et al. I cannot find them...
Thanks in advance,
Melchiah
