in wb, delete the original skin (in this case black vista basic v1.0), and apply another skin or change back to windows classic theme, download this skin (black vista basic v2.0) and the update should then appear. Also take into account this is for wb5, older versions may not support this skin.

No transparency in the task bar, maybe down the road when I learn some more about transparency and making it look good. I originally added transparency to the start panel but seeing everything behind the panel made me dizzy so I changed my mind and made it opaque, maybe some users like that feature though?

I started out bootskinning, and I have a bit of clue (not much more than that) using macromedia fireworks as a graphics design/editing application and now that I've figured out a few more in's & out's of skinstudio, I'll strive to continue developing half-decent windowblinds themes like this one. If you have an icon or cursor set that you would recommend to go with this suite, let me know and I'll try it out. The credit for the elements used in this theme have to go to Microsoft and Windows Vista, I think Vista really does have great look to it, I'm just not that impressed that I have to install Vista to get it. My theme, along with windowblinds, skinstudio and fireworks goes to show you that you can have some of vista's look & feel without having to install a new os to get it. I'm not sure if my next theme will be Vista centric, I'm kind of hearing that people are tired of these vista themes (which I can kind of understand, quite a few other authors on this site have released a vista theme) but I do look forward to releasing more windowblinds themes, especially when I hear that great people like yourself look forward to seeing my next skin - that's a great compliment to receive, thank you very much for the kind words!

I've noticed what you've mentioned about the wallpaper as well,
at first I thought it was cool that you could include a wallpaper with the windowblinds theme,
but I've changed my wallpaper so many times since then but everytime I download a new theme and then switch back to this one, it's a hassle to have to locate my new favorite wall and set it as my background again. If there is setting, I'm not sure what it is but I'll make sure not to include a wall with my theme next time - sorry for the inconvenience. Going inside windowblinds configuration, I found a setting for selecting which wallpaper to use when applying the theme, instead of using the theme's wallpaper, select from the other choices available which should hopefully also include your specific wallpaper if you've saved it (my pictures folder).

The only other thing I noticed, and don't know if it's related to this build, is that you have to delete this skin to go back to version 1. Similarly, you have to delete version 1 to install version 2 (instead of being able to just install either one).

I've noticed the same thing you just mentioned, actually someone posted a similar comment on this skin. I've noticed that with other wb updates, they don't apply correctly if you don't delete the original and then download & install the new update. When these wb's are downloaded & installed, they all get installed in the same directory (in a subfolder for each wb theme), I guess the problem with the updated wb themes is that instead of deleting the original folder, it just installs on top of it and alot of the updates/graphics don't get updated that way). I guess to circumvent that problem, the next wb update I release for this or any other wb that I work on, I'll save the wb update as a different name so that it gets it's own folder instead of occupying the original folder - that way you can install the update and it should take properly because it's installed in it's own directory instead of updating/overwriting a new one. (I think that's how it works - I'm such a noob concerning this stuff that could be wrong but it seems that's how it works). Thanks for pointing that out, it will help others who experience the same problem.
