Hi Savthmaall, it may have been a site issue when you attempted to download the skin and had problems. Based on the 36000+ downloads to date, others have successfully downloaded this skin.
If you still can't download it from the site, check out my profile and send me an email to the email address shown there and I will email you this wb theme personally.
Thanks to both of you for the great comments!

I operate on an english version of windows xp pro so I'm at a loss as to why you see arabic characters when viewing mapped drives, control panel, windows defender & wireless card settings.
Would you take a few screenshots of those affected areas and email it to me, check my profile for my email address.

I've heard of this "Kol" version but I've never searched for it, from what you said it's no longer available, sounds like a really good vista theme. I really like the vista windows look although I'm sure alot of people out there are kind of getting tired of these vista themes, after my upcoming blue vista wb theme I may take a break from the vista themes as well.
Thanks for the great comments, it makes this kind of work more worthwhile to hear that you liked it.
A great (and I do mean great) theme with transparencies is Mike B's "Arrow", you should check it out. It's my goal to be able to make wb's of that skill level - don't know if I'll get there but I do see improvements in each wb theme that I release so who know's, maybe one day....

I've noticed something similar at my end with other windowsblinds.
It seems that for whatever reason, windowblinds (sometimes, not every time) is not fully unloading all of the components from a previous theme when you apply another theme. I've even had to reboot my pc sometimes to clear up this problem, or apply a specific theme that I want to use several times in a row until the whole thing gets applied properly. Could be the wb software or it could be my system, it's hard to say, I keep my system running clean & updated at all times - it could just be windows xp itself having a "bad day".
Again, I'm glad to hear that you were able to get it to work and you went to all that effort to apply my theme, it makes the work I put into these wb themes worthwhile when I hear that people actually want to use them! Thank you very much for your patronage!

I would be interested in a transparent version. Like I said in an earlier post I find the transparency type easier to find hidden windows behind and as I use the rollup feature of windowblinds a lot (in fact is reason I namely use it) with the transparent bars it makes the desktop even less cluttered looking. I did try the "Arrow" version and it is real good except I noticed that when I rollup it leaves a very small part of the window visible about 1/16 of an inch.
my thoughts only.

Sometimes for whatever reason, windowblinds doesn't fully unload a previous skin's elements when you apply a new one. Try applying it again, if that doesn't work. Use windowblinds to switch to winxp classic mode, once that's done, go back and apply this skin or any other theme and you should be ok. WB can be finicky so be persistent, you'll get through it.
Thanks for the great comments! Check out my blue vista basic, it's an improvement over this theme.
If time permits in the future, I will add a compact substyle to this black vista basic theme, along with a transparent substyle, glow buttons, etc. I'm learning new things (glow buttons for one thing) as I work on each new theme.

Go into Windowsblinds & apply another skin or the windows classic skin (this must be done first), then go through the list of wb skins and delete the previous version of Black Vista Basic, once it's deleted. Download & install this update.
