WWW Link
v3.0 of this wb (coming soon) rec'd a major overhaul, startpanel, taskbar, windowframes, titlebar buttons, glow button effect, action buttons, scrollbar thumb & arrow buttons, etc. My skillset is starting to get a little closer to "OK" that the skins I make are now starting to look half decent (IMHO). Keep watching, hopefully I'll get it uploaded by the end of the week.

WB looks nice, i think possibly rounding off the corners of windows might be a good improvement.

It is my favorite now among all the vista-like skins.
I can't wait for a Version 4
In the meantime, I am applying some transparency with Glass2k.

Hi bennnnny, for some reason my posts get doubled, don't know why yet. Thanks for the nice comments, personally I'm not a fan of the rounded corners which is why I didn't include them with this wb but I might use them in an upcoming skin because there are lots of users who do like them, using square edges means less magic pink to work with so that this skin looks equally good in vista as it does in winxp but I will take your suggestion and attempt to use them in a future skin.
Superboux, I'm glad you liked Black Vista Basic v3.0, I believe this will be the final version of this skin - I wanted to make it the best that I could so that I can work on other skins - but I will be working on updates to blue & green vista basic, as well as a soon to be released green lantern comic book superhero themed skin (similar to my captain america wb but uses most of the updated skin elements seen in black vista basic). I'll have to look into Glass2k - sounds cool!
Thanks again for the positive feedback - I love to hear it!!!
Hi Dude, I just deleted the skin on my pc and downloaded the skin from the site & applied all of the substyles to confirm that the skin works properly and all of the action buttons work fine at my end. Are you applying the correct skin? You should be running Black Vista Basic v3.0 not v2.0. Try applying the windows classic skin, deleting black vista basic v3.0 from your wb skin list, download the skin again & apply it. The first action button next to the titlebar buttons (min/max/close) is the transparent window button which only works on xp/2k machines (& vista), the next button is rollup/unroll window and that should work regardless of windows version, the next is the shorcut to the wb gallery on this site and the last button is the shortcut to windows media player. I have tested this skin on a few different machines so I know the action buttons work so the problem would seem to be something at your end limiting the action buttons from working. Try dl'ing & applying the skin again as I've outlined above and let me know how it works out.
If you're referring to the links to the other skins in my description, I can't get them to work either - sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you. I've never typed in links before, just copied them from the skin link itself so I'm clueless as to the problem. You can locate those skins in bootskin/logon/rainlendar section of this site - they're all newly released; the bootskins & logon are showing dl's so I know they're available.
