I read about the copyright permission deal in another forum,
I could be wrong but from what how I understood it, you only need permission to use copyrighted material if you make money from your work. Since this theme is being made freely available it's a non issue. I like it, nice job on this skin.
My kids (ok, I am too) are big fans of the Harry Potter movies, we only recently discovered them and have seen all 4 movies. Making a skin based on a Harry Potter is an excellent idea. I don't think anyone else has attempted this yet (on this site anyways).

I have been to the Harry Potter fan sites and looked at all the fan art kids have contributed. A lot of them are real great works of art, but i don't see them being arrested for copyright infringments. I think the HP movies are the best movies sence the first Star Wars trilogy came out. The combination of new young actors and vetren actors make it appealling to all ages. I'm glad you and your family have discoverd Harry Potter and are enjoying my theme. I can't wait for the next movie. I plan on updateing my last two HP themes and i am attemting to do an Azkaban theme.�
