- thanks for the positive feedback!
- it's based in part on my other vista basic themes (min/max/close window buttons are a good example) but I didn't name it that way plus I only included a vista style start panel as a substyle, the other main substyles are not vista like. I concentrated on making something light in color but still easy on the eyes and not too plain but not over the top either. I hope you like it. Already working on another theme and I promise it will try to not use the same min/max/close buttons (it's hard to let go when you find something that works well, I may end up using them indefinitely - who knows
) and probably won't have a vista style start panel either - that's not to say I won't work on any more vista style skins (I actually like the new vista look alot to tell you the truth - I know I'm in the minority in that viewpoint but everyone will have their own personal preference). I've seen some gui elements from certain linux distributions that I'd like to duplicate in a wb theme, we'll see how it turns out.

Love this one, the lighter blue is, just right for me, yes keep doing XP "Vista", just for us that like "Vista" but can't afford, or don't want to go down the full Vista route. Thanks for another fantastic skin. Jim

This is a well thought out day to day skin. Pleasant, restful on the eyes. Another one that you think why didn't Microsoft ship a skin like this with the OS? I think it should get at least 4 Stars. I like it a lot.

I think this is my highest rated skin to date, 3 stars is awesome!
I'm glad you though it was easy on the eyes, that was my intent with this skin, something a little different but very usable - I've been using this skin for a few weeks already (and I tend to be more my machine for long periods of time) and my eyes are not strained.

hiya loving this theme there is onlly one thing,the start menu (POGRMS BOTTON)its in dark blue,is there any chance of this beeing transparent or light blue, mnany thanks and good luck in any of your future works

A very nice theme! Thanks! In a couple of the substyles the user pic (or part of it) is showing - v1 & Vista I believe. Should that be?

hi freedomx, I'm glad your "loving" this theme - I love hearing that!
I still haven't mastered skinning the "All Programs" button so I left it hilighting the area in dark blue (I tried a lighter blue but the white text didn't "pop" as much), the "All Programs" text should appear in white during a mouse over action so it should still be easily visible. I will attempt to work on skinning this button in the future instead of leaving it as text with a bkgrnd hilight. I learn new things all the time, hopefully I will have discovered this secret by my next wb.

Yes actually you noticed something I did on purpose: some of the substyles have the user pic enabled and others have it disabled. People had mentioned to me in the past that they didn't want the user pic, others wanted it, it's hard to reach a middle ground so I thought I would develop a few substyles for each way to try & satisfy both preferences. Thank you for being observant - it made the effort in doing this worth it! ��

Like this skin a lot unclebob. I've tried all your skins, but think one is the best. I have a question that is general, but applies to this work. When I load this skin it shows up in my list as "unknown." I'd prefer it show up with a name and author. Is there a way for me to modify one of the files so I can do that when the author forgets to add these labels? Thanks.

My skins definitely have the author & skin title info loaded in theme, so you should see the author info listed underneath this wb in your list of skins. If it doesn't show up, have you tried rebuilding the list of skins? To do this, open up windowsblinds and click on "rebuild list" and then view the list of skins available. The author info you refer to is added to a wb skin using skinstudio.
I can send you a screenshot of what my windowblinds config screen looks like so you can that it does have the skin name & author info included.
