good to hear
the only advice I will take about making blinds are from the pros like vStyler,drzues,kittymalone,messiah1,and the like because they are making comments to try to improve the quality of my blinds and are not just being jerks

Yeah, it could use some work but don't give up. If there are areas in which you are unsure about how to accomplish something, such as 'control the stretching of the top' just ask.

That's a very good view point for a beginner. This isn't about, "I'm better that you are!". It's about learning and having fun. And don't worry if it's not finished. If you want to get picky, since WB 5.5 came out, 1/4 of my WB skins aren't finished. That's why we have updates.
Another very good point is that it's free. People comment like they paid for it and they want you to make it like "they" want it. Now, if it was a paid skin, we would talk...
Take the advice, that you feel is helpful, from fellow skinners and look for tutorials, here at Wincustomize.
As for the name, might help to do a search next time. "Some" can get a little freaked out about this.

Your blinds have the look and feel of just being 'slapped together'. I know that sounds sarcastic, and I apologize for it. You ARE making an attempt and have gotten further than I have, but just because you think you have covered everything and got all the graphics in the right place doesn't necessarily mean you're done.
Some time spent testing your skins, using them...for a good period...or even using the forums to ask for testers, might assist you a great deal in working out the bugs 'before; you upload it.
I would recommend going to Skinartistry and checking out there workshop. You can upload unfinished skins for critique and the folks there are extremely helpful. I don't think you're a terrible skinner. I think you have a good grasp on the basics. It's the 'details' and little things that need polish. Don't be too stubborn or proud to ask for assistance with 'polishing' your new skills/talents. That's whats great about the skinning community. There are some great people willing to share there secrets, skills, and knowledge with anyone who asks.

What I would like to know is what ever happened to the quality checks here at WC before an item is allowed on the site? Honestly, the last several WB's I have seen here at the site are totally unusable and need a lot of improvement, and the author should have been told "Thanks, but it needs work, try again." or something. Quality checks should be number one here at WC.

Most of you improperly criticized the skinner. I would make joke from time to time, but I would never directly hurt someone and enjoy it. I have criticized the greatest of the very best such as The Great Mike Bryant, Tretog known as the Slayer just for my own pleasure and entertainment from time to time. These guys already reached the limit of infinity. I even go one on one with the top aka Long Strokes Frogboy and Jafo to name a few and never threw the white towel, but I would never improperly and directly take on a skinner trying to make it. I�d throw the white towel. It�s just not right.
This is that the first time this happen to the people�s skinner. He once created a masterpiece called �Omega� and later Stardock hit us with a premium masterpiece with the same name. It�s all good. No harm!
We have one the best in the game and the future of the game working on some issue. Don�t make it your personal issue with negative comments. Soon they might be on the same team throwing masterpieces on me. What would you say then players.

Comments, when given constructively, can help someone tremendously. Also, I agree that those of you who have nothing positive to say should try it, then submit what you've done for us to peruse. I wonder, then, what the responses would be. As far as the name is concerned, for goodness sake, there are so many more important things to be concerned about than a skin having the same name. At Desktop Sidebar, that is more the rule, than the exception because no one has the same interpretation of a particular skin. That is what makes skinning so interesting and so much fun. Let him be.

Look no offense to you Jeditharcus or to you vStyler but the Stargate SG1 name is a trademark of MGM-UA Worldwide Television, Gekko Film Corp, Glassner/Wright Double Secret Productions and Stargate SG-I Prod. Ltd. Partnership. The name game shouldnt even be a issue since the name is a infringement on their trademark of the name. So in all honesty if neither of you got permission from SciFi then both should be renamed.

I have to to agree with some of the others that this and the other i have seen really suck. i think i would rather download a skin and pay for it than put this crap on....oh wait i did.....i think you should spend a little more time ....no wait...alot more time on your skins, like mayme a whole week on one....that i might help out with all the negative comments you seem to get on all of your skins.....i also think you could have better graphics and some much better ideas coming out of your head...where is the creativity here? but hey, if you keep pluggin along and get better with each skin then hats off to you...but if you still suck after a few more months then you might want to try something else........

Let's just agree that this LOSER has no business being in a place such as WinCustomize to promote his crapola! Before he came along, I used to really look forward to seeing the new WindowBlinds and downloading them and trying them out. Suddenly I have a sour taste in my mouth.
