I really like the fonts you have used.
I would like to know more about you Vista Set up. This works fine on my Vista machine. so I am currious if it only works on mine or is it a mass problem. On Vista, do the side-bars show up as transparent or not?
some of the problems I just fixed include:
Per-pixel support for some of the images.
"the Next 3" transparent fade in the top bar.
fixed missing images.
this was all addressed on 07-30-07
any problems with the skin before this date. Please try uninstalling "The Next 2" and then installing the new one.
Thank You

This is the Vista Preview. and the way I intended for the shellstyles to look.
This is a teaser for the color support of the skin.
I would also like to mention that I will address ALL ISSUES with this skin.
You just have to post your comments.

What can I do for the community to get a better rating? OOH, I know...
I could make a Vista for XP clone.

This shows some definite promise and could become part of my rotating library when it's finished.

the top windowframe is a little thin for my taste, I would like to see more room around the titlebar buttons which are done well (min, max, close) and I like the mouseover glow effect. Also I would like to see the startbutton glow or change color during a mouseover/hover event, currently it stays black until it's pressed which doesn't give the user a sense that the button is active. The taskbar is a little thin also when it's stretched (I like to double the width of my taskbar by default), it stretches the silver globe graphic on the right side of the taskbar in the system tray area and it doesn't look that good when it's stretched. The mouseover effect on the taskbar buttons is good but I'm not sure about the text effect, it makes the button a little hard to read, I would prefer just changing the text color instead of changing the text font. You've added a search field image at the bottom of the start panel which isn't required for vista users, vista will add that image by itself and for winxp users the feature isn't available at all so you may want to remove that. The startpanel itself is pretty good, I like the grey and the shadows in it's background, it's easy on the eyes and works well. However the startpanel has rounded edges and the bkgrnd shadow behind is square which really doesn't match that well. I like that you've matched the startpanel and the more programs menu list and mouse over images, that looks really good. The scrollbar thumb & arrow buttons are nearly identical to windows vista and look & work very good with the skin (in saying that I'm not sure what you yourself meant by the crack about creating a vista for xp clone which isn't such a horrible thing, making a good looking vista clone for use on xp isn't such an easy thing). Your pull down flat menus look very good also and match the skin quite nicely - a good looking skin with a lot of continuity throughout which makes the skin look very good overall.
All in all this is a good skin, a little bit rough in a few areas but as you said it's a beta - a work in progress so I'm sure that as you improve the skin, the finished product will look even better. Again those toolbar icons are fantastic, a skill I have yet to attain.

Thank You.
so far this is what I have done for the update (there is still more to go)
New Taskbar, Quick Launch buttons, Clock settings
Separated "The Next 3" from the rest and added various effects to the graphics, buttons, text, etc.
Blended the titlebar to the menubar and further down to the content frames - seamlessly
Re-worked the scrollbars to get rid of the white boarders. -- Loosk Great!!.
I Deleted many of the repeat images and cross-linked the code.
I think I fixed the shadows on the startmenu as well as various effects that weren't working properly in XP. But they work in Vista. I will give you all an XP and a Vista version I think. as well as seperate topbar and bottombar styles.
I fixed the titebar glyphs to fit with the theme more. I uused the buttonstyle I have on my Styler Vista TB.
I will release the update soon. Just have a few more things to go.
Like:
a series of HSL color compatable Glowing Boarders
New XP toolbar/explorer/IE icons
New Vista Back, Forward, etc. buttons
A functioning ShellStyle for Vista.
and much much more.
I appreciate all of your support so far, and look forward to more in the near future
Thanx

I just have one suggestion. Unselected items in the start bar use a white font on a very light background color = very hard to read (is it just me?). Other than that, clean and original. I especially like the customizable glowing borders.
Thanks for sharing!

My laptop doesn't have a very big screen so this theme gives me more room to work.
Very good job.

But........... Please make more suggestions of what you would like to see in it.( I like those:~() )
I am really glad that you all aren't finding many flaws. This is a good sign for the final.
I look forward to hearing more from you all.
