A really nice blind. I really appreciate the time that all you skinners spend creating all this digital artwork that we find here on Win Customize. But I got to tell ya, It's because of you that I've lost so much sleep changing my desktop around and then changing it around again, and again, and again, and...you get it? I don't know if I should ask you to keep up the good work or please stop! All kidding asside, good job, keep up the good work, please stop. (DON'T YOU DARE)

Note to self: Stop commenting on skins

2of3.

Please don't stop commenting. Its how we all learn. Its how I have figured how to make other skins work on my machine and enabled me to make my humble contributions. And there is much, much more that I need to discover. Note: 8 months ago I was completely clueless and if you were to go back and read some of my early comments on skins I downloaded, you'd be embarrassed for me.

One more thing. If I don't know its broke, I can't fix it.

knofsky, thanks for all your help in the issue at not seeing the text with this blind. I was able to fix it by going into internet options and making the changes you discribed. Now it works fine. As a result, I'll be using this for sometime. Thanks again and keep up the good work.

Another thought regarding the Title Bar font.

If you go to Control Panel > Display > Appearance > Advanced you will see a button at the bottom left that allows you to manually set the font for the Title Bar. I have this set for Arial Narrow, Regular and 10 pts. Obviously you can change these to whatever you prefer.

Enjoy.

knofsky, i think you mixup PC default settings ans SKIN settings.
Those (like i do) who want a bigger titlebar font (but don't want to change PC settings) have to open the skin in skinstudio and change the font in section "Window Borders / TitleBar Text / Titlebar Font". Personally i've switch it to Arial 13 medium

neophil78, you are correct of course. My solution was for those who may not be familar with Skin Studio. As they say, there's more than one way to skin a cat..... pun intended.

This one of the sweetest metallic blinds I have seen in a long while. Your "chrome" effects are tremendous. BTW, I am not having any of the problems mentioned above, or any problems with it at all. I'm using XP-Pro, SP-2, WB 6.0 and Firefox 3 (beta 3). Great job knofsky.

Thanks Tecumseh, and everyone else that has posted a comment. All feedback is good.

I know that some people probably thought that my suggestion to reboot came across as lame, but I have found that some blinds don't fully implement all components successfully until a reboot takes place - which is why I suggested it. For example, I believe that doing so will correct the font color problem that "2of3" was experiencing in Control Panel and My Documents.

Even during the building stage, some changes would not take effect until after a reboot. The Windows GUI can be stubborn at times.

What have you got to lose by taking a couple of minutes to see if the solution is indeed that simple?

Thanks again. Enjoy

I think I actually have to delete this skin! A main program that I use for work is all blacked out when I use it. very disappointing because I LOVE this chrome look. Hope to see more form you soon. Very cool.

Teecha, did you try one of the sub-skins to see if the same thing happens with them?

Just wanted to let you know that I'm a Windows Vista user and I just tried this wb on my visa laptop and it looks awesome, no problem at all! I'm a previous XP user and I personally think that this blind looks even better on vista than xp. Good job!!!

Great skin!!! I am a vista user and it is working great. There are a few minor things such as interference with the search bar in the start menu and such, but these things are nothing when you compare it to the rest of the skin! Only one problem which is really annoying me is the background color in messenger, media player, word, etc. It's too dark to read many things. Can anyone tel me how to change this either in the individual programs or in the skin itself?

I am not going to be too critical and the reason is that there is nothing that stands out about this skin I personally think is wrong. The only thing I want to point out is the font size. I understand I can us the font enlarger included in the windowblind or the skin studio small fonts may look neat but they also make it hard to see.

I am legally blind and understand this is my issue but in talking with others they also feel this is an issue that is not beoing addressed because it seems like nit picking but to ma and others it is a real problem.

Hope you tgake this for what it is, a minor issue that in no way detracts for how beautiful the skin is and the hard work it took to make it. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.
