Grump, I believe you may still be doing something wrong. Difficult to know for sure without sitting at your machine. To confirm what I know works.... For FF, Tools > Options > Content > Colors > tick Use System colors and untick Allow Pages to Choose. Or vice versa. But NOT both. Ticking both will result in the W on W problem. As a test, ticking both on this page means I can't see (citizen) in front of grump11 in comment #80. IE is easier. Read comment #11 for details. Hope this works for you.

Thanks for your response...All adjustments are made and yet the problem persists ...It must be Vista related. Now I'm curious, so I'm going to get one of my xp machines out, kick off the dust and try all this again.

Hi, I love this skin! I am using the Flock browser. The skin is great on there, but the backgrounds for text are showing white with white font. I can't see what I'm typing! Is there a way to fix this for me? It's fine in Firefox, Opera and IE. Flock is the only one having that problem! Thanks, Wendy

Hi Wendy. Hmmm. Not familiar with Flock. I will try to learn more over the weekend and post a response soon thereafter.

Hello again Wendy. You got me curious so I downloaded it tonight instead of waiting for the weekend. Flock offers some clever upgrades but none of them are of much use to me, at least at the moment. Be that as it may, this is what I discovered. Pages load fine and have the same "restrictions" as with FF. The solution I gave grump in comment #81 also works with Flock. But (if I understand correctly),the W on W problem with Flock isn't with the Web Pages, its with the menu bar. I don't see a way around this without making a change or two to my blind. The reason for this is two-fold. 1) Flock prevents my menu background from replacing the one it was designed with, and 2) because their color choice for the background unfortunately was white. Since the font color I chose for the menu text is white, you end up with the W on W problem. I will play with SkinStudio 6 Pro this weekend and see if I can come up with an easy, workable solution for you (one that doesn't result in unintended consequences). Robert

Robert, Hey, that would be great! Yeah, Flock is cool, but it doesn't offer a lot of manipulation as far as skinning goes. I honestly didn't know that it was associated with Firefox. I like Opera, but I can't seem to fix the activeX there. So, I'm stuck with FF. I can't wait to see if you have a solution. If not, that's ok. I'll just find a different browser. Why not?! Can't everyone use 15 browsers? hahah! Thanks, Wendy

Wendy. Sorry about the delayed response. I've tried several different options to resolve the W on W menu item problem with Flock. The best solution requires changes that then become less desirable in FF and IE7. Two options without making changes to the blind. 1) change blinds when using Flock, or 2) if you like using SS, just work around it. The menu items do appear when you MO. Thanks for your feedback. Robert.
