Wow, guess I should have included more brushed metal or glass effects. You don't like it, don't use it. I really couldn't care less. I made this skin for my OWN use, not to win a popularity contest. It's functional, easy on my eyes, and doesn't bog anything down with a bunch of useless eye-candy. As far as what I did to prettify it; it's just a little more rounded and smoothed over the factory version.

Did you NOT see the line in the description that it was based on classic maple? Try comparing real classic maple to my skin, I'm sure you'll be able to spot the differences. As far as where my 9 skins are, all you need to do is visit my profile and lo, there they are. I do need to redo the DX doodads though. As old as they are new versions of DX appear to have broken some of them. The 'search' function always works too.

I like the skin also, I do see the 'Prettyify' points with the buttons, menu highlights and fonts - plus more. Why is it ok for all of the exact Vista replicas, and exact XP replicas and not ok to build off the Classic look? Not to mention that this is a good way for a beginning skinner to learn the fine points of subtlety. Frankly I do not need monsters jumping out of my startmenu or "transparant anything at all" - it's a computer, not the Cash Cab.

Hey Good Job Mate! It was better that all of the last 5 to 10 skins lately and I won't mention any names. This skin, although made for XP worked the best with Vista. I like the Start Button and I especially like what you did to the maximize button! Works very well with Vista! Well done! Regards Stephen ��

Why when ever someone gives a negitive comment they get bashed? Maybe they don't like the skin, not all skins are at the master level and some look like crap to be honest. Everybody should be able to express themselves and not be bashed or treaten with being banned for it. that's screwed up. Bushman, did you actually READ the 'negative comments' (#1 and #9)? Not liking a skin is one thing...to be so totally insulting is another (note that the admin agreed that he crossed the line). No skin appeals to everyone, and that's perfectly fine. Constructive criticism is always welcomed. Even the master skins often have something that someone else doesn't particularly like. If you like it, use it; if you don't like, don't use it. As far as I'm concerned the main reason for the skin comments section is so that people have an easy way to inform the skin maker of skin errors and things that need a little more tweaking....not to be an ass to the skin maker. I've played around with the more standard glass and transparency effects, and even many animation effects. Surprisingly, a skin like this is more difficult in some ways. I basically had to go over it nearly pixel-by-pixel to get everything to fit together properly. As a WB maker yourself, I'm sure you understand about that. For those of you that think I merely copy/pasted the classic maple theme, let me tell you all right now that I did NOT. I only used the base colors using classic maple as a reference. Every single thing in this skin was made by myself, with the exception of the standard XP file animations...and I left those at default because they fit the theme of this skin.
