Everything looks great except the resolution of the wallpaper which doesn't "stretch" to the "personalize" in Vista. Perhaps you can offer a choice of wallpapers. In the weather module I went to Advanced skinning options for Temperature and adjusted the X value to 10 so that the Temp. was in the module frame (the Farenheit F was slightly outside) no biggy. The second problem was in the task bar...I don't think you skinned that fully. I'm rating it a If you have questions about skinning WS Extreme the really good address would be J. Coelho at Winstep.net or WebGizmos. It's so good to see this Gallery receiving a transfusion and coming to life after such a long dry spell. Thanks to Anand2008 and WebGizmos!!!!!

Anand...I would like you to put this question to WebGizmos (Prowler, Plastic-Fantastic) Winstep Extreme skins. He's a real skinner, and knows EXACTLY what he's doing. I believe that you'll get everything you need from him, and he's a good guy, too. Thanx for doing this skin...I think with his help your update will be perfect.

I've found that even in the best Winstep themes that I find myself using parts. With one theme I use Workshelf. With another Nextstart.
The second problem was in the task bar...I don't think you skinned that fully.
I haven't seen any Winstep theme where the task bar was as perfect as the original. You've done a pretty good job. Hey, you got a 5! That's pretty good. This is a nice Winstep theme. Good job.

Very nice for a first Winstep theme, Anand!

The Startbar is actually perfect, not sure what DrJBHL meant...? As for the wallpaper, no worries, it stretches as it should on my system.

I have seen some systems where a theme's wallpaper is not automatically stretched, but I still don't know why, only that it has nothing to do with the theme itself.

Now for the (constructive) criticism:

* The multi-state activity bitmaps are not positioned correctly in the Net Meter module.
* The blue outlined text on white in the modules is a very hard to read on my secondary CRT, although it is readable on my primary LCD.
* Temperature in the weather module is too far to the right.
* Humidity Y position needs to be a couple pixels down (or Sky Conditions a couple of pixels up).
* The 3D frames around the icons in the shelf would probably look better with a lighter color (just my personal opinion! )

Overall, very nice theme!

In mine, the Systray stays the same (not the clock) as in Prowler. Don't know why that's happening, JC. As for the temp...maybe it appears ok for him. Looks like he has a huge screen...anyway, the fix for that is in my reply.

Thanks for putting this together! I feel like I have absolutely no right to do any critiqueing but since you did specifically ask I'll say that I have trouble reading the blue-on-blue text (like the net meter IP address, clock module date, systray clock) and the blue-on-white text (like the bottom line in the net meter). Those little things don't compare to my gratitude at having another WinStep theme though, so again, Thanks!

Hey anand...now the task bar and tray are skinning fully. I did delete the original and then redownload and reinstall the update...and now the wall is adjusting also. Great work, and I mentioned your work and WebGizmo's in my Post about new life in the Gallery WWW Link. Hope you keep up the great work!

I updated the theme with some minor bug fixes including the fix for the multi-state activity bitmaps not being positioned correctly in the Net Meter module. I have also updated the themes taskbar. I shall update the theme shortly.

Came across this theme when looking at Winstep Xtreme.

I like the fact that it doesn't impact overly on the desktop real estate, but would prefer it with some modifications - dark background for menu / tabbed docks (workshelves) with an associated white font / grid, bold white font for clock, larger start button that fills height of the taskbar (preferably more colourful - like the Win7 round start icon).

Are you still able to modify this theme, or can I get permission to modify it myself (once I learn how )?
