Its already been explained how its not just a prize for a newcomer.  Existing account holders can still win.  Make a 2nd account and buy something, then you have the same chance to win as anyone else.  A second account isnt fraud.  You're not representing someone else...you're representing yourself twice.  Like buying 2 lottery tickets.

I can tell you one way you will DEFINITELY not win.  By not buying something.  Which is the point of the promotion, to increase sales.

Enjoy the urine in your corn flakes!

Frankly, the whole charade is disgusting because I can't win it just because I work for the company. This is just another prime example of how Stardock and their Impulse thing is a scam.

Anytime someone gets something that I don't have a chance of getting I know in my bones that their benefit has come at my expense.

If I had my way, I'd have everyone at Stardock (except me) shot. I think everyone here will agree that there simply is no other option here.
I agree with everything but the exception.

That beast makes my machine look like the electronic junk it is. Congratulatons to whoever wins it, and congratulations to stardock for their success.

As for the millionth user, i see Benedicto's point, but agree with the bible quote. (And no, i'm not religious )

You are misunderstanding.

I really don't care about the prize.

I simply don't like how the contest it's been thoght and I'm explaining why.

No drama, no cry, and definitely I'm not going to kill myself.

Stop being childish, please. I really don't give a **** about silly jokes in attempt to make me feel wrong.

Ouch

I don't see what the big fuss is either. It's not like this is a real contest where everyone has an x% chance of winning. It's just whoever happens to be the millionth unique buyer gets lucky.

If you care about it that much, you can make a new account and buy something, who knows, it might be you! Nothing stopping you there.

I think everyone here will agree that there simply is no other option here.
I have an option.

We use all the person data collected through Impulse to stage local fights between all users registered in Impulse.  They must fight to the death.

Local winners move up to regionals and on to nationals and then to globals.

The last user standing gets pummeled by trout until dead.  Then they can have the PC.

Then I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

I don't think there is a rule against it. But you pretend to be someone you're not by doing it that way, and 2 wrongs will not make one right.

How is creating an account under my wifes name pretending? She exist and she can handle her own account just fine. I still can't see how this is wrong. I have 2 accounts at my bank, 2 accounts at blockbuster, 3 accounts on Joeuser, etc. Tell me how this is fraud, pretending or wrong?

Finally a solution! Can I have the T.V. rights?

It isn't, CharlesCS. At least imo, if that counted for anything.

This is an incredibly generous thing to do. This is a lot of money to give away just to say 'Thanks for trying Impulse'.

I just don't understand how anyone could be upset about this. Putting out this program in the polished, solid form it is in now, adding groundbreaking systems, and having one million users adopt it in this relatively short time period is an extraordinary achievement. Frogboy and Stardock have every right to crow about it.

I don't support Stardock because they give away prizes. I support them because they offer superior products at reasonable prices and have the best customer support in the business. That whole actually listening to their customers opinions and putting real value on them doesn't suck either. Guess what, whiners? They listen to you too.

I was a bit hesitant re Impulse at first, but I am now firmly in the camp. A sincere contgratulations to all at Stardock and best wishes for your continued success.

That is a nice rig though. Maybe I'll take a look at the Impulse weekend specials.

If there's one thing I can get behind, it's that.

What a bunch of whiney-arsed greedy bloodsuckers. It is not a contest. It is not a prize for you to win. It is a gracious gift from Stardock to their millionth customer.

How pathetic envy is. Someone else is lucky enough to receive a gift and all people can do is bitch and moan because it can't be them.

If I ever get like that I'll chuck myself off the nearest building...

Nah, until the winner is announced, it's just greed.  When we all know who it is, then it's envy

So, if you have a SD product from back in SDC or a brick-n-morter and would make an Impulse acount and register into Impulse those serials, you're also excempt in winning this?  At least until you buy something via Impulse.

They aren't a new customer and they aren't buying anything...but you are bringing an old customer into the new product that may just now buy something else...the one reason for this prize anouncement prior to it's goal.
