Why come here to the forums for current customers and make an anouncement about a kick-ass computer that can be won by anyone but current customers? This might have been better placed on the Impulse Front-Site.
Hilarious!
Stardock = Good software, not so good PR... Better than "some-other-huge-company" that mostly has made good PR and not so good software
Keep it up Stardock! I don't really care if I don't like the way you promote your company, as long as the software meet my needs.

Iv'e asked this before and have not seen a reply.
Is the "prize" available to all possible future Impulse customers and not just those in North America?

You are reading comments from the forum, but the article was posted to the Impulse front page. Regardless, there are people who visit the forums who are not customers.
Yes.

Something tells me multiple accounts will probably disqualify any prospective winner.
Its funny to see the people who REALLY REALLY want a prize REALLY badly... Ironically it's never those folks who win it.

Once again for those who have failed to read everything.
Brad has already stated that there are Millions of users just like you who have impulse installed but are not customers. It is stated that there are now close to 1M buying customers of Impulse. So yes there are MANY like you, that's simply not what is at hand here.
Two different kettle of fish.
As i outlined before, i have 4 purchases through Impulse. Zyx commented that he had 4 or 5, of which i think is about average, or slightly above. Even if only half of those near to 1M buying customers has only bought one other program we are still looking at ~1.5M purchases. I'd still say it's around 1.7-1.8M
Those like yourself that are registered users but have not purchased anything have been left out of all calcualtions.
As has been said three times now.

Like?
If this was so why is a "Create New Account" feature intergrated right into Impulse?
My second impulse account holds my 2nd GC2 DL and DA purchases. How is that an issue when it's built right in?
Are you guys actually reading the whole thread or just the last few posts, 'cause i sure am getting sick of having to repeat myself.

Shit...my sarcasm detector just blew up.
Since i was in need of a third account i see this as a opportunity at the right time. Can't say i wouldn't bend over backwards to get a PC like this, but if i was not pre-ordering Elemental soon i wouldn't bother.
I really only pointed out the method for creating another account to silence the whiners.

I am truly amazed at all the BS on how to win this computer. Why not just go buy something, create an account and buy something or create a second account and buy something and hope you are the winner. Otherwise, all this complaining seems pointless.
Is everyone here who is complaining about not being eligible actually gonna buy something they actually need or are you gonna just spend money on the cheapest thing Impulse has to offer and then cry because you didn't win and now you own something you wouldn't have actually bothered to waste money on had it not been for this give away? Seriously folks, it's just a computer, granted a nice, expensive computer that even I would love to own, but this constant questioning of the rules and specifications seems out of control.
I can picture IslandDog now pulling his hair, regreting ever posting this article and Draginol shaking his head wondering why he even bothers to offer a free gift.

I do have a suggestion though. Maybe you can offer a consolation prize to the 999,999 customer, a free copy of Sins of the Solar Empire.
Just a thought.

Not at all. If Brad would just answer the question I posed in #104 then 99.9% of the confusion would go away.
Whining about not getting a prize for already buying something is indeed bullshit. Asking for solid clarification of the rules because there have been no solid answers (and conflicting answers) is not whining nor out of line.
Creating 2nd and 3rd accounts just to be eligible ( if that is indeed necessary to be eligible ) is also a crock and quite frankly I'm disgusted at the very thought that people would stoop to that level.
Reply #139 Friday, March 20, 2009 8:32 PM
Neilo would be creating the third account regardless of whether or not it would be eligible, or at least that was my understanding. The only question is when.

Awesome Deal SD..
Not often do you see a Co. hand out such an awesome Goodie to thank folks for being customers. This is just another point of proof that SD rocks.

That's the part that confuses me, actually. The only place I've seen this contest mentioned is here, so the only reason I know about it is that I'm already a Stardock customer and consequently inelligible.
I seriously suspect that whoever wins this may not know it's coming. It'll hopefully be an awesome surprise for them, I really do hope it's someone with a USE for a gaming rig of that caliber.
