ObjectDock 2 New Configuration Screens

Wednesday, March 31, 2010 by Island Dog | Discussion: Personal Computing

I wanted to take a few minutes and start posting some screenshots of the new configuration interface in ObjectDock 2.0.  It’s very user-friendly, but in case you haven’t seen it yet, this will give you a good idea of what it does and looks like.

Again one question:

Are the previous themes done with ObjectDock Plus V1 compatible ? or at least is there an option in V2 to import .ini from V1 ?

Hello NA My old Vienna Vista dock that I have been using for a long while seems to work fine. Since ODv2 sets up its own folder under Stardock in program files, you will likely have to copy the backgrounds from the old OD+ folder. They are organized a little differently so you should keep all your tabbed docks together, zoomers together etc. Best regards, barryzee

Older docks still work fine.

Right now, to backup an existing theme go to the Troubleshooting button in the Settings tab.

It will open up the folder location so you can manually backup the dock.

Yeah mine is just a solid blue frame (blue because I'm using Acrylic7?). *shrug*

I believe people who have preordered ObjectDock 2 should have access now.

Make sure you have pre-release versions checked in Impulse.

As far as I can tell, they are compatible. I have a bunch of stuff from the previous version including Systats.

I guess  your belief is wrong Neil Banfield. I oreordered mine months ago. I  just received a second receipt for it. It's even registered (the Stardock 2 that is) in Impulse.
