Brilliant, I can't believe how far this has progressed. I keep testing it, but Ive not had any bugs yet.

Elvee:

Probably a VERY stupid question but do you have Outlook installed (and if so which version is it)?

Thanks,

BTW everyone, until we get colour support - in the counts '*x*' indicated unread mail and '!' indicates urgent in mail and tasks.

Thank You; finally someone is making something for the business customer. DesktopX is wonderful technology, until now no one has created a business application. It will remain on my custom Desktop as the first directly download addition.

Please keep progressing.

Thats the error I get, same as Elvee.

I am using Office 2000 and Windows XP Pro SP1.
Outlook version is 2000 SP-3.

Hmm, Sir Hus, just looked at the Object Model for Outlook 2000 and it appears that the views are not published.

Can you change the view in the folders in Outlook 2k? I'll try to get a machine with OL2k set up somewhere and have a play.

Martin, I changed the view in Outlook and I still get the same error. Email me if you would like me to do some more debugging tests for you. public.mail2@verizon.net

Upon opening my Object Browser, I have exclamaition marks on calPrefStore, calContactOrder, and calOutAllContacts object ID's

When I right click on the object to delete it, I deleted all, along with the child objects.. That was really interesting, as it left them all in my object browser but took the graphics off my screen.

This is WAAAAY over my head, but I'm just reporting what I saw. Hope you get it worked out as this is some great stuff you have in the works!!!

Elvee: Sorry but this is dependant on Outlook being installed.

Hus/Phoon/Lunatic: Does this updated version help? It should be more tollerant of different builds of Outlook, and the Outlook View Control.

OOOh this looks like something I've been looking for. I get a message about being on the wrong version of Desktopx - I am using the Beta - does this work with Outlook 2000?

dmss - Don't worry about the build, I used an internal build to create it and it's not a problem. If you won't to avoid the message, just resave the theme.

I did a bit of testing on OL2k and it seemed to work fine.
