Do I have to have Winamp open to use this object? that is the only way I see to get this to work...of course I also have no idea what I am doing either . If I can use this without manually opening and then minimizing winamp then I am all set, otherwise I dont see the point. can someone straighten me out?

CoachDoug1 - once I have made the dx meters, and (possibly) a calendar, then I will collect all the objects up into a theme and provide some sort of toggling system. In the meanwhile you can do the same thing for yourself with some dx scripting, it's a bit beyond the scope of this comments section to fully explain how to do that, but there is some good documentation available on the Stardock website to get you started.
Cheers j dott
Vetto - this object was really intended to control objectmedia (an object desktop component made by Stardock). However, it will also control winamp. You can add a button that will open winamp I think. The easiest way to do that is to probably clone an existing button, and then reconfigure the dxmedia plugin settings. Don't be afraid to experiment, the worst thing that can happen is you have to reload the object from a saved archive.

BomB2k4 - what do you mean it doesn't stay on your computer? I will definitely try to help if you can give a detailed description of the problem you're encountering

Does this media player play cd's? I cannot get it to recognise CD's at all so assume it doesn't. It's a very smart designed utility but if it won't play CD's it sadly isn't much use to me

I have object media and winamp installed.

yeah I'm not sure but I think you're right. I tend to rip all my cds using winamp, then use dxmedia to play the mp3s - too lazy to do all that cd faffing I guess

Is there no media library section? I kind of have too many mp3's to have to faff around looking in folders etc..... any ideas?

Hi, I would like to start by sayin that u are not possibly but deffinatly the best at wot u do. I have downloaded all ur suites and this is my favorite. I realy like the media player... however I was wondering wether u are anyone can help me with a problem im having. the thing is sometimes, this and the meters also fail to load on startup... and wen i go into desktop x to load them it gives me an error msg saying that there will be problems with the parent child relationships upon loading. I have also noticed that these r the only 2 objects missing from the ThumbsCache folder.... im quite new to all this so if anyone knows how to help me please keep it simple. anyway apart from this great work tiggz... hope to see more soon

I think i know wot the problem is it says the package you are loading contains objects whose object ID is already in use in the current theme (ID = k_mediahelpback).Do you still want to load it? Be sure at least that you fix the object IDs. how do i fix this as i realy want to use it........HELP!
