Try adding some mouse over states to the text objects. It gives it a better look and feel when you do.
As for the 3 rating. IMHO, Longhorn has been done to death. The graphics look good, but there is nothing "wow" about them. The theme works though, so I will give it a 5. Keep at it, your getting better.

I quite like this.
Less is often better than more and I prefer dark desktops as well.

I love this Black. Would you consider making this theme in Windowblinds with the wallpaper to match? It's so great!

The windows blinds skin is "longhorn slate" by voodo Freak... It is one of the skins that comes with windows 4.1 so you most likely already have it

no, I hate things that auto-hide... thats why I designded this. However when I do my first update next week it will be auto-hide if that is desired

latin, if you check out _Martin_'s dock object you will see little scripted button at top right that can toggle the dock between autohide,docked and normal modes - maybe you could add something like that to try and keep everyone happy
