I used png's instead of bitmaps with magic pink to do the transparency... its very easy

I've used the magic pink too, but it always comes out totally transparent, not with that slightly opaque look to it. What would the trick be to doing it that way?

or you could just set the transparancy of the object in the DesktopX configs.

she means like in menus where part of it is transparent and the other part isnt

In DesktopX,any item can be configured to any degree of transparency independently of any other object.

gef, you still are missing the point. Part of an object is intended to be semi transparent, not whole. It's silly to have multiple objects while you can have it all in one picture. (I guess I'll continue the wink tradition)
