This is a great idea, unfortunately, most of it doesn't work for me. I don't see the other 2 tabs for net browsing and file programs, and when I access the net via this theme, I don't see anything. And some of the text is misplaced on my system.
And I can't find a taskbar or systray..... are they in there somewhere?
I hope this gets fixed, I love the ideas behind it. Well done.

Seems a good idea and looks great in the preview but I had the same problems as Boxxi.

the tabs for the other two sections are there. when you mouse-over the greyed-out ones beside the white tab 'user information'. tht will be addressed.

as to the net browser, i've been having some problems with it moving on me unexpectedly. glitch in desktop perhaps? if it happens, bring up the object browser and find object id: browser, the correct x:y coords are, 1230x113.

system tray and taskbar are in the 'file manager' section. i will be releasing a remote desktop object to coincide with this theme in the next week that will float above your windows with easy access to those things.

as for the text not lining up properly. send me a screenshot and i'll see what i can do.

Could you tell me how I actually load this theme into DesktopX? I'm trying to load it via Load Theme >Browse but obviously there is no .dxtheme file.

The concept is great but currently the implementation seems a little flawed. For me the grey and white frame is missing with only the user info pane, media controls and text visible. If you click where the other tabs should be they appear, but this isn't exactly how it should be.

I hope you can fix these as the idea is really good. I am working on a similar concept and hopefully the more of these we can get up the better the themes library will be!

Oh and also, the fonts you used aren't apparently atatched in the theme as cutom files anywhere so the fonts look wierd.

Not sure if you've used the latest version of my scripts like the weather as it seems quite erratic in it's behavious here, zip problems etc

Couldn't you have picked a better topic to theme and skin then the commercial diaster "Realplayer". Realplayer represents the worst sort of Spyware - Adware software on the market and I fail to see how creating a DesktopX Theme engenders anyone with anything other then the need to wretch.

Personally I like the look, maybe that's because I didn't use RealPlayer!

Martin: thankyou for your comments. the actual frame is the wallpaper which should be included and 'should' have changed automatically when you loaded the theme. I'll have to take a look into that as well as the font has been addressed in the next update. i have included it in the theme folder and it should be attached as well. as for the weather object script, i used the one included with desktopx 2.2 i have yet to upgrade to 2.3 so this might be causing the problem though the only one i've experienced was the forgetting of the zip code.

BurtLance: i, like Martin, don't use RealPlayer but i found the design inspiring in some small way.

Thanks for the inspiration, I hope to find some time between now and Christmas to get a theme sorted.

this new comment format blows. what's with the size limit of comments? and now after just fixing a few typos in my past comment, my entire editorial was cut off. anyone else having these problems? i thought with the new design things would be much easier but...i've yet to be impressed. Even the uploading leaves something to be desired. uploaded my newest theme, received the confirmation but would you believe it, no response. not even a 'awaiting approval' status in my skins. it's not even listed!!!

Absolutely love the concept, functionality and clean footprint of this design. Now, if you could actually make it work, that would be awesome!!

it does work...blame the update to DesktopX. I've noticed since upgrading to 2.3 that some themes don't load the wallpaper anymore. It worked perfectly fine in the previous version. Also, there are some glitches in the program that cause certain objects to lose their position. The wallpaper is included in the file directory.

Also, I've included the font required in the new update but if it is still not loading properly, go here --> "http://www.1001fonts.com/font_details.html?font_id=869" and install the font.

I like the clean uncomplicated lines of this theme. Do you happen to have it in a 1024 x 768 resolution?

Digitally: a 1024x768 resolution is not currently available. At the moment there are no plans to build one at the lower resolution as I'm in the process of trying to finish my last theme (Sophisticated Orange) before moving. After getting settled I might get back to it. Leave me an email and I'll keep you informed.
