quick A:

right click dx tray icon > switch to desktopx builder.. > right click dx tray icon > configure desktopx builder.. > 'desktop' tab > uncheck 'hide desktop icons' > apply

note that the clock will obscure any icons directly beneath it, so you might need to quit dx and move them if this is the case - I wish they could show above the clock but they can't I'm afraid

Erm... I seem to be the only one to not see the clock...
I can see the wallpaper, I tried switching on and off the icons... When the desktop loads i can see a quick flash of the clock but then it disappears
Any ideas?

Hi Starrow, can you give me details of your monitor setup? Dual monitors? If so, which side is the primary monitor? And what are the resolutions?

If I had to guess I would say there is a slight bug in the script that didn't forsee a particular monitor setup. If you could give me those details I might be able to track it down

Ok, I have 2 monitors: Primary one is on the right side with a resolution of 1680x1050.
The second one is on the left side with a resolution of 1280x1024.

Thanks for the quick response

no problem - I suspect it's because the primary is on the right - I will check the code and see if that's the case

Yeah - there's a bug in the script, my bad

In the Sub System_OnScreenChange there are 2 lines:

x = nSW/2 - nCEN_X - nVSL
y = nSH/2 - nCEN_Y - nVST

They should in fact be:

x = nSW/2 - nCEN_X
y = nSH/2 - nCEN_Y

I will update when I can, but if you fancy it you can try implementing that change for yourself

Well, since I'm rather new with this... I tried it, went to CurrentTheme and found the file you mentioned, changed those lines, but it doesn't work.
Probably I'm just doing something wrong (like placing main screen on the right
Just kidding, I'll wait till you upload, easier and knowing me, safer...

Thanks in advance

btw: no hurries, using your K-TEK 4D animated background with your animated clock, which is also cool ofcourse

But I'd still love to try the other one

I really like your clock! The background of the wallpaper is light gray when I launch it. It doesn't have the woodgrain effect shown here. Maybe that's the way it should be.

You say the main clock graphic is separate from the background so you can apply alternative wallpapers behind it for a different look. If its not too much trouble, can you tell me how to do this? Don't know if I have the right program to do this or not.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Changed my wallpaper and found that it came up just fine with the clock in the middle. The woodgrain wallpaper is there, but it is hidden by a light gray background. Guess I answered my own question. Thought I was going to have to graphically edit something.

Thanks anyway. Love the clock!

Love that big 'ol clock in the center of my desktop. Strangely though, when I run certain programs (like Windows Live Mail) the clock is relocated to upper left and I can't move it. I have to reload the desktop. Any ideas why it relocates?

yeah, I have experienced the clock shifting to upper left randomly - I believe it's a dx bug of some kind

One of my faves! Question/Problem though... I used Manifest Clock flawlessly on my XP Pro system with WindowBlinds running at the same time. All was well. Now I'm moving myself into a new computer with XP Home... when I load M Clock, I see the clock but not the wood wallpaper. It flashes for a few nanoseconds and then is replaced by the solid system color (I think) with the clock over it. I followed your directions above to use Builder... when I un-hide the icons the wallpaper comes back. But I don't want the icons. When I hide them again, so goes the wallpaper. I extracted ManifestClock1920x1200back2.jpg so after M Clock is running I can set the wood wallpaper seperately and it works. Any advice on getting the wallpaper to load with the clock all at once? Again, GREAT desktop that works well when I put my steampunk mod'd computer into "Full Victorian Steam Mode!" Thanks for creating it!
