As I understand, the background image changes in colour? You could try implementing a hue changer with presets (to these colours) or maybe the option to switch backgrounds through a code? This should reduce the download size

Each seperate theme has it's own color. These colors are actually gradients and could not be achieved via script. The hue changer codes also do not change the hue of the meter bars and media player plugins. Also, any shortcuts you put in get changed which is ugly.
