to daehawk thanks for the comment sorry it took me so long to get back to you and as far as resizing lcars refit you can do it just it will take alot of time in the paint shop resizing everything. i am very sorry i dont understand what you mean by psd files please fill me in on that i am bad with abbreviations of things. also you can email me if you want to ask me more questions you can easily send messages privately here on wincustomize also be careful on two things.

1. becareful when you resize the core the animation looks funky when you stretch it

2. becareful not to get lost when doing the sub hidden menu write every size and animation down it easy to loose track of where you are because there are so many hidden menus

any other things let me know  and really glad your having fun with LCARS REFIT i had a great time and some bad times making it and oh by the way some updates are coming soon in the next month or so i am redoing some animations that will look ten times better

thanks again cghaveman

ps you can email me if you get into trouble or have ?'s www.cghaveman@yahoo.com

No problems on the delay in responce. what I ment by psd is that is a Adobe photoshop extension allows for multiple layers that can be changed. I am having just as much fun, and some aggrevation in resizing this also. Hopefully when I resize this it will be backward compatiable to fit on smaller screns. I am excited on hearing of the new updates. Looking foward to them. If I run into trouble I will pm you here. Thanks

ok daehawk glad your having fun and as i said it will not be easy to resize everything but it is possible also this may come as a shock to you and everyone else this LCARS REFIT  and the new upcoming restorations of the already animations with new features all my work is being done in microsoft paint and i am also using old xp paint app which has alot of stuff that adobe doesnt and also on my new helmsman skin i used green screen tech which adobe would not let me use so i am still old fashion in way and you would have better luck resizing in windows paint shop. ok ta;lk to everyone soon got to get back to animations oh by the everyone

THE NEW UPDATE WILL BE ADDED TO LCARS REFIT BUT I AM GOING TO TRY AND MAKE A DESKTOPX OBJECT PACK FOR LCARS REFIT THIS WAY ITS EASIER TO CHANGE THE ANIMATION WITHOUT RELOADING LCARS ON YOUR OS

THANKS DAEHAWK

I downloaded the update hoping it would handle 1920x1080, but it's still at 1024x768.  Why such a low resolution.?  Even my tablet handles full HD.  am I missing something?

hello gevansmd i am not sure what your getting at the update is for the added animation i put in and the remastered old animations with updates to them. this lcars was made for resolution 1024x768 only but it can be resized by you in paint shop but it will take alot of time and hours to resize the entire program. 1024x768 is the highest LCARS REFIT will go as i made it this way for those who have this resolution which is alot of people including myself. i have tried alot of lcars programs in the past but they where to big in resolution and just about every comp i have had has been 1024x768. so i built LCARS REFIT in that resolution as i saw others as well that where screaming for a 1024x768 lcars. i hope you understand and very sorry if there are problems on your end.

i hope i answered your question correctly if i did not please explain more

thanks cghaveman

I think I see some of my stuff in there...

Rmart and what stuff are you refering to that you think is yours. Nothing in this lcars is yours and i made just about every animation here. i also made all of the backgrounds as well. So what are you implying

1024x768 is the highest LCARS REFIT will go as i made it this way for those who have this resolution which is alot of people

For the record, MOST people run at least 1600x900 these days. Mostly just old systems run at 1024x768.

I do, however, understand one skinning for one's own used resolution. It does make this unuseable for me as well. I run at 1920x1080. A very common res these days.

My apologies, I was looking at some of your screenshots and remembering some of the frames I'd worked on in the past. I had attempted some DesktopX theme objects based on the System47 LCARS screensaver but had scrapped most of those as I developed the project. I went in a different direction due to much criticism over the gradient look.

Here's some of my stuff I did back then: https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/all/search/rmart

Interesting that it doesn't come up during a search using the term LCARS or LCARS+

A review of my old project leads me to repent of my insinuation. Your project looks good.

This one here definitely has elements I created and designed... https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/screenshots/2349/

Rmart sorry for getting back to you so delayed like but i like your stuff you made you should go back and continue it. I actually saw your stuff and thats what gave me the idea for the colors which i was able to make the 2 tones colors with paint.net. It was fairly easy as i thought it was going to be hard so hey thankyou for your work because without your color scheme i would have had some drab color or something like that. Though i will be getting out of desktopx for now and i am going to give CGI a try and hope i can really make an lcars to really look as real as possible. Also your shapes gave me the idea for the weird shapes i have in some terminals so again i may not have used your work but it really gave me idea so thankyou

thanks again,

cghaveman
