how far have you gotten?

download the file, unzip it to a folder (i put them all in the desktop x widget folder so that all my widgets are easy to find), load it, a box will pop-up, find your sSi098 folder, select it, hit ok, another pop-up window appears, select a skin from drop down menu, hit ok then cancel

DesktopX seems to forget settings sometimes. So if You change settings and end the app before rebooting everything except the settings written to the ini is gone. If You want the settings to be permanent, the only way to save them is to reboot with the app stil open. Sorry for that, but no other way at the moment.

Alexer : Unzip to any folder, start the .exe and point it to the folder You have unzipped it to at first start. After that, fill in the infos, click OK and then Cancel and reboot Your machine (due to above mentioned bug).

Uncheck it to startup with windows in the preferences and then simply delete the folder. That's it.

Kcazaa : Click on the left top icon of the meters an choose 'DesktopX preferences'. If You didn't do that before, You can delete the folder.

Yeah, I can't get this to even start...I don't know what to put for 'Alternative Explorer Text', 'Alternative Explorer Path', 'Mail-Application Path', and then what's the difference between my mail account and my mail user? should i put an @whatever.com after it? every time i enter a variation that i think would be right, i hit ok and it goes away for a second, but pops up again...wtf?

i think its in the read me or something but "ok" acts just as an apply button then just hit "cancel" and it works.

what's the difference between my mail account and my mail user

The account field just is for informaztional purposes and is shown when hovered over the mail-icon. As said before, I didn't manage to rename the buttons, so "OK" is "Apply" and "Cancel" is "OK". The reason for this is to be able to see changes made without needing to open preferences again.
