Same issue here, just installed this Codec and now it works. https://www.mediaplayercodecpack.com BUT BE CAREFUL the installer includes a program installer for a 3rd party software. Just be sure to uncheck the box to not install it.
However, after I put in all that work to get a codec and try it out, I find the scrolling on the text is too fast and gives me motion sickness issues.

Get a MPEG-2 error on Windows 10. Won't run at all. Deleted it. Thanks anyways.

Can't get it to run on Windows 10. I have the codec installed because it plays in Dreamscapes but won't work when applied to the desktop.
