Depends really on your video driver.
nVidia is slow. ATI is fast.

This is really good but the resolution is what slows it down.
1600x1200 is beyond HD. It would look the same at even 1024x768 and use a fraction of the CPU.

I will begin creating low-res versions of my dreams in MPEG2 (1152x720 or 1024x768) so everyone will have a version they can use.

I don't understand why people run vista ultimate on slow PCs/laptops..
this dream runs great and i like to thx again
My Performance values are as follows:
CPU: 4.0
Memory: 4.1
Graphics: 4.4
Gaming Graphics: 4.3
Hard Disk: 4.5
How the fug do you figure that's slow? Anything less then 4.0 and I wouldn't be running Vista, but 4's across the board is not slow by any means. Just for comparison a freaking P4 3.0GHz HT proc runs a 4.2 in CPU speed on the performance values.
My guess is that the majority of the makers of these dreams have either HT or Dual Core procs and hence see 1/2 the speed costs that those of us with single core/non HT procs see because their procs split the taxation of the proc.
And I didn't say it didn't run on my laptop. It runs without a hitch, it's just that I'd rather not have my fan roast my lap because it's on full blast due to the high clock-cycles. DeskScapes does not run in the background people!!!
4.2 isnt that high.... working in the field of computers and extensively testing vista both beta and after launch.... running games on a 4.2 system isnt too pretty, this is the same concept....right now my overall system is a 5.9....that isnt even on the vista regular charts....and honestly i still chug down on some games and graphics....but for the most part i dont think it just relates to your score as much as it does to poor driver support..... i think in 3 months or so we will see dramatic improvements when looking back at these exact same dreams on the exact same systems with better drivers
