Link I really tried to make this theme very easy for new users to modify. Almost all of the configuration is in the theme.rc. The only other text files are the simple scripts (made simple to learn from) and the font and colors config.rc files. I feel this should be a theme that would be good to get your feet wet learning litestep theming.
A soft 3dcc color scheme is included that matches the theme very well if I do say so myself.
I’ll give a quick walkthrough of the theme starting at the top left of screen:
· Asterisk - Switch User
· Crescent Moon – Logoff
· Toggle Switch - Switches between music controls and system stats.
· Winamp/QCD controls (default mode) - Only what you need for the amp. Power toggle, prev, play, pause, next.
· Amp time - Shows elapsed time for the current song. Mouse over shows time remaining.
· Slider - Controls volume.
· Song ticker - Shows currently playing song.
· Meter mode – Vertical scrolling label shows the current user, computer name and OS, uptime, CPU usage, RAM free, free space on C:\, and net traffic. Single left clicking on the label creates a new label with the same information; only it is larger and does not need to scroll. The new label can be dragged around the screen by holding CTRL+Left click. Right click on the original label or double clicking the new label will destroy the new label.
· Systray – Auto-sizing tray adds icons to the left.
· Shortcuts – Four small rectangular buttons, 2 buttons tall and 2 buttons wide. Top-left button brings up the LSCP if you have it installed. Top-right brings up the Display Properties. Bottom-left toggles the taskbar visibility. Bottom-right is a popup with the running tasks in case you have the tasks hidden.
· Time label – Shows the current time in 12 hr format. Mouse-over show the date. Double Left click to bring up the Time & Date Properties. Right click to toggle Rainlendar. If you have a mouse with a wheel, scrolling up/down will cycle through the months.
There is also a theme specific popup. Shift+Left click on the desktop and you will be presented with the following options:
· Color Schemes - Choose between the included 4 color schemes.
· Litestep shortcuts – LS specific shortcuts
· LsxCommand – Show or Hide LsxCommand. LsxCommand will appear underneath the taskbar on the left side of the screen. You can move it around by left clicking and dragging to where you want it.
· Mode – Does the same thing as the toggle switch described above.
· Taskbar – Shows or hides the taskbar the same way that the shortcut described above does.
XProp – Shows mouse current position and also color values. Valuable tool during the creation on this theme.
